[ROM] CM7.2 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 3/9 zvd only

Re: [ROM] CM7.1 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 10-23-2011

In the notification power widget brightness check boxes is it possible to get every 10% listed? back when there were only a few choices, I used the Dim/40%/100% selection and I'm finding it more difficult than I thought it would be to get used to 50% in situations where I used to use 40% brightness. This isn't a major issue for me just a minor annoyance.

By the way, I'm loving these CM7 ROM's. I can hardly wait until someone tries to shoehorn the future CM9 (Android 4 ICS) onto the Optimus S ^_^

Using gpsfix2 and it's amazing. Getting a gps lock almost instantly vs 10 to 20 second lock time without the hotfix!

Would you happen to have the link for that?

Does anyone know how to do this to our rom
[LAYOUT] ICS Statusbar v0.9 - xda-developers
Im a noob when it comes to this.

I think i got it to work. I think it just moves the date down and the Carrier label to the bottom. I probably won't be doing anything with it at the moment, still too beta for me. Maybe if it served some new functionality, but it just moves things around. But the ics patcher is on XDA to use if you want this mod.

It should work with the Achep ICS theme and the other 1.4 ICS theme This one: [Theme] Ice Cream Sandwich | 008-build-56 | 28.10.2011 - xda-developers

Here are the 10/23 ICS status bar patches based on the lastest CM7 framework and SystemUI, It has transparency, but ICS themes don't have it. http://www.mediafire.com/?h28365jdvs733y8 and undo http://www.mediafire.com/?d906u1defy43yvt

Is it possible to get rid of Google Voice and go back to Sprint's Visual Voicemail?

Re: [ROM] CM7.1 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 10-23-2011

Yeah there is a manual way of doing that. See the hotfixes. Backup and uninstall mms with titanium backup. You have to download and push that mms.apk to /system/app folder by adb or root explorer. Then install that latest vvm. I don't use it, but it fixes the 9016 txts. Then if you integrated Gv, you will need to adjust some settings via Gv on a pc.

Actually under the bug list

You also have to deactivate gVoice which I think can only be done at there website

Here is a flashable zip to install the MMS and Visual Voicemail VVMCM7fix.zip
Hi Kraven. Did you make this flashable zip? Is it the same as the files from the xda forum? Will it just replace the old cm7 Mms.apk so that I don't have to delete it and push the new app to the app folder?
Can it be installed on other phones that are running CM7?
Thanks.

Re: [ROM] CM7.1 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 10-23-2011

Hey Kraven. I had a weird issue with vibration notification on the last rom. The notification for the initiation and termination of a phone-call. Looks like the proximity sensor was causing a notification, so I would have the phone vibrating a lot during calls. I don't have time to troubleshoot this, so I reverted back to the 1017 which has everything I need.

Re: [ROM] CM7.1 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 10-23-2011

Thanks, i'll see if i can get mine to do that with the proximity sensor. In settings/cyanogenmod settings/Sound settings... there is an option to Vibrate notifications during calls normally. That's the only thing i could see that would need to be turned off.

Re: [ROM] CM7.1 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 10-23-2011

I guess it should work for other CM7 phones with sprint. It's the same files you used. It depends on the recovery. The mount scripting works on our phones, and i can't be too sure about the mounting on other phones. You can always mount the /system before flashing if straight flashing doesn't work.

Oh Jason, I found the fix for the alarm clock you mentioned. It's only in the MIUI theme folder, not the Meizu theme but the alarm in the Meizu theme looks broken and the MIUI alarm just doesn't look good. I replaced the files and it looks much better now.
Could you please fix the notification power widget button for sound+vibration in the Orion theme? It doesn't turn blue when it's selected and the icon looks broken. I'm using the MIUI theme right now so I don't have a screenshot. If I change the theme will I have to fix the deskclock app again when I switch back? If not I'll switch to Orion and take a screenshot.

Thanks. My husband has a Samsung Epic and he just installed CM7 yesterday. If the flashable zip doesn't work can I use the adb commands? Will the commands be the same as those for our phones?

Jason, here's the screenshot of the notification power widget. The sound+vibrate is selected but it looks like this. And the brightness button is stuck at "auto" on my phone so it should show auto but it's hard to see.
