So, according to this post by the CyanogenMod team over on Google+, they've all but stopped working on CM7 to switch gears to CM9. My question is, is the current (2011-12-12) build up to date with the latest contributions to the CM7 code base or, will we be seeing one more update before it's done?

I think they froze developing for CM7, and I've seen them hold off on some features to save for CM9. But they will continue to push fixes and patches when they get approved thru Gerrit review.

There is a 12-18 test build floating around.

After testing the new 12-18 kraven rom, some cool tweaks, very fast, mms, data, phone calls, wifi seem to be working great!!! Also wanted to say camera, video recorder also are working and google maps worked great finding me in about 10 sec.

From what I've seen it's not quite that bad, they still have a few people doing general bug squashing on CM7 and the teams that are developing for specific devices are still working on those since the same issues may prevent CM9 from working on those devices. However, CM7 at this point is 'feature frozen'. In other words, no new things will be added to it at this point. Also, since so many of the devs are spending most of their time on CM9, any non-critical fixes may be a bit slow in coming out for CM7.

@thekraven thanks for that information, I was just trying to figure out what the future was for this ROM in the near term.

FYI- Some members of CM stated over a month ago that getting more devices included before ICS is released would be difficult to say the least (they actually weren't that polite ). However, those of us working on IHO are still adding some features from time to time. Since CM7.2 is all but frozen, there's no reason to remain 100% pure CM, when we can kang the hell out of it and make it better for our phones ourselves.

I have recently added an option to change the status bar background, with Theme, Custom Color, and Transparent options. Next, I plan on adding options for changing the notification drop down's background and menu item's colors, and an option for changing the overscroll glow effect as well as adding overscroll glow support outside the general UI.

Google+ won't install and gives me a package file invalid error. Was there a work around for market errors I'm missing other then clearing market data?

Google+ installed fine for me. I get those package file error from time to time only on Google apps, i uninstall the app and reinstall the newer version on the market.

I did this too, I uninstalled in hopes they'd go away but no luck... I forgot to make a backup so can't get the app on my phone.

I flashed the update when I ran into the problems and reflashed it this morning, it then looked like it'll install but craps out last minute. I'll just keep trying every once in a while...

I had the same problem with Star Traders RPG but eventually it worked so maybe I'll get some luck later.

"Not Enough Space" was the initial message. I recently stopped using data2sd with 12/12. I checked and had 30mb free. OK so I'll clear more, delete app data in Currents because it uses an insane amount. OK like 50 meg free. Download and Invalid Package File...

Strange, uninstall to try again and same error. Weird... Clear market data and uninstall updates. Same error. Flashed the 12/12 update and still persists.

Still no G+ on my phone :-( I can't find an apk online with the newest version and even then probably shouldn't trust a random apk... Plus I don't know if you're "allowed" to redistribute the app...

Probably just a freak incidence and either will work for me eventually or will when I flash the next update Kraven posts.

@thekraven, if you plan on pulling in the transparent status bar mod, you will need to add this commit to get the date showing again. It adds an animation to the notification icons that will prevent overlay when the date view appears.

no, but the file will flash over fine, just the build prop will say the older build.
