[ROM][CM9][ICS][4.0.4] Cyanogenmod 9, Android ICS 4.0.4

All I can say is wow, the only reason i joined this forum was to at some point hope for a thrive rom to come out and its finally in the works. Arjen you are incredible, i had almost given up hope.

I got the rom up and running on the thrive still on old baseband, with as far as i can tell everything working so far even the data with the baseband patch. However i'm getting the black screen bug as I have with every other rom I've tested on the thrive.

This is the only thing keeping me from using this as a daily rom, keep up the good work! :)

ok its working wow amazing but i can also confirm a huge black screen bug using a live wall paper helps but it is still there

but arjen awsome work man as soon as i get some cash i will buy you a beer of your choice :p

So I am in the process of rooting my phone again with superoneclick and I cannot get it to work. when the symbol of $ should change to # it does not change. Suggestions?

well im getting a boot loop i flash the cm9 ics provided by arjen and then i flash the new kernel and well it reboots after the LG logo every time over and over and ..........

and i am on new BB updated months ago with lg tools and have also redone with the GB 20f.kdz file

Same results here.
Im using my LG phoenix (not sure which BB i am on)

-with only "cm-9.0.0-RC0-p505-UNOFFICIAL_2012-06-04.zip" - boots, good color, but stuck on the "CM9 droid flash" screen
-with both "cm-9.0.0-RC0-p505-UNOFFICIAL_2012-06-04.zip" and "lgp505icskernel.zip (aka. 'working with wifi')" - not booting, looping at LG logo

Someone enlighten me where went wrong?
Thanks

what rom are you on baseband etc

if you are on official gingerbread
then super one click should do the trick

old baseband im not sure

do a factory reset or reflash and run super 1 click again see if it dose the trick

BLACK SCREEN BUG:

ok so this is where i have found the black screen bug(s)
1: lock screen
2: just after screen time out
3: any incoming calls
4: just about anything else that turns off the screen or on the screen.

this makes me wonder can we use any p500 ics roms now that we have a working kernel thinks to arjen because looking around the net i see a few posts about cynogen mod 9 having black screen bugs alot of complaints on that

On cm7 i was able to bypass black screen by holding return button and power button for a second or two

Im using an LG phoenix.
when i flash "cm-9.0.0-RC0-p505-UNOFFICIAL_2012-06-04.zip"- it boots with good color until the droid CM9 flashing screen then stuck
when I flash "cm-9.0.0-RC0-p505-UNOFFICIAL_2012-06-04.zip" with "lgp505icskernel.zip (aka. working kernel with wifi)" - it is not booting and looping at LG logo

he said to try out the cm9 p500 roms i think he needs to compile another phoenix rom as i had the same problems with the ones you are using but not entirely sure on that

i had this issue go back into recovery

wipe data
wipe cach
go to advanced wipe the 2 there battery and cach

then load cm-9.0.0-p500-UNOFFICIAL_2012-05-29.zip without reboot then load lgp505icskernel.zip (wifi ver) then reboot it should load into ics and boot as normal

after first boot shut down and restart into recovery and load gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip

that will give you the google apps and play store

you will notice i did not use the 06/04/12 zip well initialy i did but i got the same issue you had with the boot loop so i loaded the first one cm-9.0.0-p500-UNOFFICIAL_2012-05-29.zip

and it worked like a charm

Just wanted to mention that overclocking reduces the black screen bug significantly.

Just a quick question, did you try P505 060412, or P500 060412? I did P505 and it did not work, how about P500? Anyone got that to work?

Just out of curiosity will there be any major differences between the thrive and the phoenix version of the rom? As of now the phoenix version seems work on the thrive with the baseband patch along with the change in cpu to get rid of the blackscreen bug.

Because off the min setting for cpu, it's 320, the phone has some problems 'waking up'.
Set min. cpu speed at 480 and it will work fine.
Tomorrow I will work on the new Phoenix AND Thrive build.

Send from my phone...

totaly stupid question but what are we using to set the cpu speed i know on GB i used the app setcpu speed something like that.
