[ROM][CM9][ICS][4.0.4] Cyanogenmod 9, Android ICS 4.0.4

Just out of curiosity will there be any major differences between the thrive and the phoenix version of the rom? As of now the phoenix version seems work on the thrive with the baseband patch along with the change in cpu to get rid of the blackscreen bug.

Well, baseband is the biggest difference :D
In the Thrive sources I need to integrate the RIL-files for old baseband, so when you compile from source you don't have to apply any basebandpatch ;)
There are more similarities than differences :D

thanks man never used any CM builds before lol and have never seen ICS either lol

been working on porting ics over to my arnova 10 g2 tablet but the problem there is no one has source for the kernel used by arnova. lol but a few guys have got ics to run on it but without any drivers except screen

no touch no audio no wifi nothing

lol
was just a proof of concept

Thanks Arjen! Your work is greatly appreciated. Does anyone know where the old baseband patch is?

but the kernel on, then right to unofficial AOKP. love it, i am getting black screens, but i find just waiting a second usually allows me to press a button and wake the screen just fine.

Thanks for the awesome kernal.

Settings-Performance-Processor

i did what you said about system performance cpu

but still black screen after setting to 480mhz and a reboot

incoming calls impossible cause of the black screen

so let me ask everyone what rom is best to avoid much of the black screen with the cpu set to 480

im currently using cm-9.0.0-p500-UNOFFICIAL_2012-05-29

going to try a few others but was wondering what was best at the moment

been testing a few roms god do most of them bite lol the one i really really really hated was MIUI V4 2.3.23-KANG total BLA i mean it was really dummied down and was branded all over with his logos and could not change anything lol.

i realy like the interface in the cm9 ones and it is more stable and alot faster just have to find away around that dang black screen bug lol

Question, do you plan on eliminating the blackscreen bug? It's really bad on thrive. BUT THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH. I used an oldbbpatch.zip and its running great!

Arjen its still there just reduced.

just wondering what do you mean by reduced?

i have yet to find it reduced unless im doing something wrong i have went as far as to set the cpu to 600min and 600 max still black screen when you get an incoming call i tried the other usual tricks like normal background and live wallpaper etc.

or are you getting the black screen on incoming call as well.

is there another rom that will reduce this further?

I haven't tested incoming calls yet. Be I'll test that for you now though.

Blackscreen is definately still there. But use a live wallpaper, with 480 min 768 max and ondemand governor. With these settings its not bad at all, although still there. Hopefully arjen can produce a fix. Don't know if its a kernel thing or rom thing?

I don't have a black screen bug on incoming but I have it when I make a call. When I finish with my call it doesn't wake up.

It's a kernel issue. There's a delay with the display driver.

Thats what i thought! Also i find when you move the phone away from your face, if it doesn't come back on right away either put your finger over the sensor or just put it by your face again and then away and it should come back on.

Ohh ok. I guess that could help. I'll talk to arjen about it.

v111206 - sysfb framebuffer

I think we need to use sysfb framebuffer to fix black screens?

I checked arjens defconfig for the p505 and the CONFIG_FRAMEBUFFER_CONSOLE is set to yes! Maybe setting to No will fix the black screens.
