[ROM][CM9][ICS][4.0.4] Cyanogenmod 9, Android ICS 4.0.4

Will try on thrive with BB patch now! :)

Works great with Thrive. no need for funnysim fix, just bb patch. Overclock the cpu to 480, and wait like 5 secs everytime you unlock the screen and you don't have to worry about the blackscreen bug if you do that!

I have 4 different BB patches. Which one? I don't have oldbbpatch.zip

oldbaseband-fixed22, basebandfix, oldbbfix_signed, and oldbasebandfix

"OldBBFix_signed.zip" If it comes down to it I can upload.

ok thanks.

I have it, but a link for people who don't have it would be nice.

Got it up and running now on thrive. :) thrive users aren't expected to oc to 768 are they? i mean the screen tears and get visual artifacts sometimes past 652mhz.

i can proudly and happily say that Arjen is the best developer for the p505/506 ever, the p505 ics kernel works on my lg thrive and, like Oathkeeper1212, im enjoying aokp build 38, with only a little black screen bug, but who cares its barely noticable, cheers to Arjen, thnx for what you have done for us

you are getting screen tears and artifacts because of the governor. Change it to ondemand(battery life) or performance(battery killer). I'm good upto 768

The problem is though, that it IS noticeable. Sometimes the screen wont wakeup, when on a call move the phone away from you and it probably wont wake up. This is the SAME problem we had with the other kernels. I am pretty sure it is an LG kernel issue. I am going to try and compile from arjens github and make a couple changes to try and see if it works!

It wakes up for me always. And if it doesn't its because I try to wake it right after I lock it. But don't worry arjen will fix it in the next build.

Already tried ondemand. just doesnt like changing clocks that high. cant go past 652 on performance. it tears with ondemand at 652.

will try that build out thanks for the info.

i dont mind a few black screen bugs because even the stock GB has a few of those bugs when ending a call for example some times when you move the phone away from your ear it stays black and you have to put it back to your ear and then pull it back to get screen.

it is rare but it happens

Damn.. I cant get the github source to compile. It gets a little of the way through and then errors out?I'll wait and see if arjen can fix it. Thanks Arjen!

I had this problem. But I seemed to get it working when I changed max to 787 then immediately changing the min to 768

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention a new bug. On AOKP, enabling the nav bar renders the rom unbootable. Shows splash screen, disappears then phone powers off.

hmm dont know what it is but im at a stand still with ideas! no matter what i do or set including the cpu and the Governor it always black screens me on incoming calls if the phone is asleep same with waking it up some times have to turn the screen on then off and wait for exactly 10 seconds and then back on.

i have tried setting the cpu to min 480 and 600 and on demand etc and set at boot and then reboot still same ole thing

im using aokp build 38

so im guessing its in arjens hands now (which i have no doubt he will fix it)
this guy is a pure genius seriously how many devs have tried there hand at this kernel and we either got a hackjob that half worked and half did not work or a kernel from that who shal not be named that had no data no wifi and a whole lot more that did not work lol.

but in a few days this guy has compiled a fairly stable and fully working kernel.

if i had a few hundred extra bucks laying around i would buy him a few cases of beer lol

arjen keep it up looking great you da man

as for now i can play with ics at night but have to switch back to stable stock GB during the day (my phone has a super hero complex i guess lol)
