[ROM][CM9][ICS][4.0.4] Cyanogenmod 9, Android ICS 4.0.4

Ah sorry for not responding here at all :p
Busy with CM10

Yeah I'll move my files to somewhere else. Dropbox account disabled because of high traffic

im on 7-21 build, apolla works but google play music doesnt. will 7-24 fix that?

What do you mean it doesn't work? Does it crash when you try to launch it? I just installed it and it works fine. Wipe cache and install the 7-24 build and see if that fixes it

it says it has closed, and goes to home screen before i can hit report or ok buttons. im having trouble finding 7-24,everything i find says 7-21. im still new at this.

I managed to get it before Arjen's Pilson links went down. Unfortunately I've deleted it from my computer and exists on my phone only as a CWM backup. I recently switched to Arjen's Piccolo and its very much worth trying. Google Play Music works also

I believe you need the old baseband fix if you are on thrive like i am.

ok, the last few days have been a blur, fighting with recovery, restoring backups, trying this and that, and searching for a newer update from arjen. somehow thru all that, i got play music to work properly, but i dont know how. thats how i got into this in the first place, i just wanted more songs on my phone, and researching moving to the sd card got me here.
now, my about phone says my kernal is 7-22; my cm9 version is 7-21; build date 7-22. im happy with it, but battery life sucks.

As korrectmethod stated, you may wanna try Piccolo instead. I've used it. Running JB currently, but Piccolo is my standby when JB is too screwy.

XRAY, you should try PICCOLO. It's pretty stable. I've been running it for a few days now. The only issue I have is the camera. When using the camera, the colors flicker a little, but the images come out fine. Other than that, it has worked better than the other CM9.

The other day i put a rom CyanogenMod 9 ROM onto my galaxy ace but now its completely ruined it wont load the main screen or anything. goes to a complete white screen or a black one if the device isnt plugged in. All i need is to be able to remove this from my galaxy and bring back the old settings alreadyu tried the factory reset and things like that can anyone out there help

All I believe you have to do is wipe cache and then flash it. Then reflash baseband fix (only if you use it) when I updated to 7-21 I also had to flash gapps again. But if you do, it should not erase your data. always backup before you try anything lol you know, sometimes something can go wrong :P

Isn't this ROM for the Phoenix/ Thrive? Or am I missing something?

This forum is for the LG Phoenix P505 & LG Thrive P506 Phones. Please post your question in the appropriate device forum.

Hi all. This is my first ever post on this forum. I have been struggling for the past few days to get CM7 on my Phoenix before I came to this thread.. Been reading every single post till page 15. I'm going to flash the ICS ROM and the kernel posted by Arjen in this post. But I thought it would be unfair if I don't thank Arjen for his hard work and all you folks here for helping and encouraging. So here's to you all! I'd like to donate but I'm still in college so I'm donating gratitude here :) I have a Phoenix with me so let me know if you want any help with testing.

Ok so I flashed the ROM and Gapps alone (without the kernel). Mine is new baseband. Everything was ok and the device started properly, no colour problems or anything. Still what annoys me is that it gets stuck at some point during navigation and sometimes gives out error saying "Trebuchet is not responding". Then I have to remove the battery, wipe the cache and reboot again. I've not even overclocked my device because during the process of navigation to settings->performance itself it gets stuck. Any ideas as to why this is happening? Do you think I have to flash the kernel as well? I'm sorry if this issue has already been raised before and resolved, please point me to that.

P.S: I'm a newbie to this so please pardon me if my question sounds silly :)

get the newest CM9 build from the first page its dated for the beginning of this week. You flash that with gapps if your on lg505 new baseband. The newer updates have the kernel built in then you go down to recommendation section and adjust the performance like it has it

I was correct with getting the newest CM9 and gapps.. However I missed the recommendation part! Will do that and update back. Thank you!

UPDATE: So this is what is happening. The first time I boot after flashing CM9 everything works great! No problems for the most part. Trebuchet stops responding when I try to navigate while it gives tips like "you can hold the icon to create shortcut in home screen" and stuff like that. There once it gets stuck I have to reboot again. When I reboot, during the boot it says "android is upgrading the apps" for a while and loads the home screen. Now it gets stuck even if I try to navigate to apps menu. Trebuchet stopping is the most common problem I face. Any way to fix this issue? Thanks a lot.
