I've managed to get Gmail (which oddly was NOT among the GApps set) back after clearing the Play Store's data & cache, rebooting to recovery, wiping Dalvik, etc. However, now Gmail won't even work!! It crashes and bounces back to the homescreen IMMEDIATELY...

Could be the cause of vsync off in the kernel. But I've had that off in all my test kernels. I wouldn't use any display patches prior to 11d. I resynced just before that build. Try the conservative governor and report back. In other phones, that fixes some artifacts

Conservative cleans up the artifacts mostly, but really slows down the chosen app opening. I have not experimented much with governors, but will to see if anything changes. Thanks for the heads up.

I haven't had luck getting flash to work. Is there anyway to get it working? I have the same apk I've been using for over a year now.

It's not going to work on the OptiS unless someone figures out how flash, ARM6 and ICS can play together. In other words, it's not something that the CM9 team or Adobe is going to worry about. I don't see it happening either.

I'll make another kernel with vsync on later today. How did alpha 11c fair with the artifacts? I'm not getting any on mine.

Never had the artifacts till 11d. Have 748/320 most times w on demand gives me best balance of response vs batt life. I'll bump one step min.

Okay, so, my curiosity got a hold of me and I actually gave in this morning and clean flashed 11D. It was definitely a pain to restore all my apps and stuff, but I can say with certitude that all of the noticeable lag is gone. I guess it was just a problem of buildup from not clean-flashing the last few alphas.

Also, i may as well note that i'm not having any display problems.

I will probably be nanding back to cm7.2 soon because of my need for BT and speakerphone, though.

thekraven is getting burned out. He has said as much already. I can't read his mind, so I don't know for sure why, but if I had to guess, I would say it's because of all of the useless posts in this thread. If you have a bug to report, check the OP, it is most probably already be there (like Bluetooth). Asking for ETAs is also heavily frowned upon. If all you have to say is "Wow, great ROM", or "Almost a daily!", or "How Long till X feature is implemented" Don't post. Instead click the like and thanks buttons on the OPs (or all kraven's posts, he deserves it). If anyone has noticed, a lot of the senior members/power users have stopped posting in this thread, because they are tired of the ridiculous amount of thread crapping that's going on. Kraven has actually turned off his PM receptions because he got so many requests to test. So, people further crapped the threads asking to test. Enough is Enough. You know who you are. I've said this once already, I'm not going to say it again. If you have a general question, use the search button. Than check and make sure it's related to this ROM (if it isn't post it in the relevant thread, or search, and than create a new thread). BUT DON'T POST IT HERE. THIS IS FOR BUG REPORTS ONLY!!! i HONESTLY CANNOT GUESS ANY OTHER REASON TO POST IN THIS THREAD. IF KRAVEN GETS BURNED OUT, YOU WILL HAVE NO COLD AS ICE!!!

Has anybody gotten internet calling working with this rom? I can use my Republic Wireless credentials with CM7.2 but, it's a no go on CM9. Thanks

I have been on alpha 11D all day with 122/806 Ondemand and I noticed a few for a sec when I first set the values but they have stopped I'm about to bump up my min too though 122 is a little too low

Edit: bumped min to 480 and the only think I notice is with transitions and scrolling its not like an artifact on the side its parts of the scroll and transition being slower or something mine is so minor that I really didn't notice till now

Donated again. I know you mentioned that your GF doesn't always alert you, thekraven.

Edit: Clean install seems to fix the app lag and MAIN SCREEN TURN ON issues for now. I haven't made or received any calls, so I'll have to see what happens there. Didn't install ClockSync, going to see how the clock drift is.

Looks like I'll want to set TiBu to run a batch operation every other night or so, just in case I need a fresh install in the morning.

1) This ROM is beautiful. I'm surprised you're still calling it an Alpha- it's stable enough for a daily to me xD

2) There's a bug when you change the DPI (anything OTHER than 160), com.android.phone will crash if you try to call someone, or if you get a phone call. It'll still stay on the line, only the normal phone dialog screen won't show up.

3) Little tip I heard somewhere with ThemeChooser- most themes for CM9 are HDPI+. But there's a way to use HDPI themes on our MDPI phones. Simply change your DPI to 140, reboot, apply the HDPI theme, and change the DPI back to 160, then reboot again. Oddly enough, this scales the theme down, and it looks perfect on the screen. There aren't any scaling issues I've noticed, but apparently there are a couple.

Google Play may not work correctly after applying this (due to changing DPI), so you'll have to clear data, uninstall updates, and then wipe /cache via recovery. A little bit arduous, but worth it to use HDPI themes. This also apparently works on CM7. Again, I didn't find this out myself, just spreading the word

anybody had any luck with netflix??? the audio works now since 11d flash but still no video. obviously im running 11d with test kernel 15 great freaking job thekraven you are a master dev and should get paid for this

Just noticed that all sip function fc's the phone app. Be it native or third party, has anyone else figured out how to work around this. I use voip alot.

I found out that some applications do not work, those with voip functions like textplus, whatsapp gives me a warning that it may not work. Just a heads up.
