[ROM]COLD AS ICE-CM9+Paranoid Android LS670 11/20 ZVD basesband Alpha19

I'm wondering if I've screwed something up... Installed 16e, and I'm periodically getting fc's on things like google play...

Sent from my LG-LS670 using Tapatalk 2

Is it just the Google apps giving you trouble? If so, have you tried reflashing gapps? This kinda happened to me (on 16d I believe) and reflashing gapps fixed it.

OK, I feel like a moron asking this but... I'm using stock browser, why are all the pages loading on https? Doesn't that slow down a page load time? How do I turn it off?

I just went through every setting. I find nothing. Do you use chrome desktop and sync? Just a guess.

Most (if not all) Google-owned sites use https by default now. It has nothing to do with Android. And why wouldn't you want your connection encrypted? Any bandwidth loss would be negligible anyway...

Re: [ROM]COLD AS ICE-CM9 Sprint LS670 6/26 ZVD basesband Alpha16

ok i cant get alpha 16 to work after flash something im doing wrong?

wipeing system, data, boot, cache. flashing zip. then latest gapps restart

View attachment 29234
So it would seem that upon flashing 16E, it erases my /system partition. Then when I attempt to boot, it just loops at the cyanogen bootlogo. Flashing the zip, then using the advanced restore option to restore my /system partition allows my phone to completely boot up. I will report back with any possible issues this causes such as FCs and whatnot

EDIT 1: First thing noticed is that WiFi will not turn on. No matter how many airplane toggles, reboots, or combinations, it will not work. But mobile data still works

EDIT 2: None of the new audio fixes work. Guess I'm going back to 15 until this gets resolved. Hopefully the erasing /system helps

CM9 Alpha build for Sprint optimus S
"COLD AS ICE"
ZVD only

These are public test builds, so expect bugs. There won't be too much to changelogs till Beta. Test away and report bugs and what works for you. ETA's does kill puppies. So don't.

What works so far
Calls, 3G, wifi, gps, sms , MMS, camera with preview(alpha10), video camera with videocam illusion from the market, native usb, adb , youtube video but not hq smooth.headphones no mic, gaming works well with drew's Iscream kernel. Gallery works for me. Market. Live wallpaper is working. I'll include a few in a new build or patch.

Not working
voice search, use market version. Youtube hq laggy. Video playback, install mx video from the market.

BUILD CHANGELOGS
ALPHA 11a. Latest CM9 sync. Allows for more theming objects like the power menu and frameworks. Might have a test 12 kernel. May include the new Apollo Music app, jrummy root explorer. Will be going to testers first. Working out camcorder issues first. kgsl logcat errors seemed to be gone.

Alpha 11D. Latest cm9 sync. Test 15 kernel... new video drivers .. bluetooth sleep fixes... Same audio as early builds, test tethering...

ALPHA 13 Latest CM9 sync, new bootanimation, bluetooth audio fixed for calls, Test 16 kernel with vsync on.

ALPHA 15 Fixes lockscreen icons, dp is still too large for mdpi screens. Bootanimation really flies too. Comes with Test 16 kernel with vsync on. Flash Test 15 kernel with vsync off to increase ics smoothness. Bluetooth phone audio should be fixed. Linaro patch2 build. Drew?s Cannibal recovery compatible now. Flash the alpha 10 audio files, i forgot to go back to those.
ALPHA 15 D, same as above with the old audio files, Mms fixed. Compatible with latest Cannibal 1.08 recovery. Flash test15 kernel for a performance boost with vsync off

ALPHA 16
Non-Linaro build
Offline charging added, thanks tdm. Still a bit buggy, if you are plugged in and it reboots, it goes to charging. So currently... Power off+plugged in=charging screen, plugged into wall+reboot=charging screen. Usb plugged+reboot=charging screen. SO press and hold the power till you see the the cyanogenmod screen.
Latest CM9 sync.
New CAF audio files from team lgics. Speakerphone should work. Try the other audio files in post 2.
Test 15 kernel included for now.

No pm's for testing requests, it fills up my pm box and just get's deleted.

Bugs

Alpha 11 bugs .. clock lag still present, seems the Epic ics builds suffer too.

Alpha 15D bugs... clock lag again, reports of deep sleep problems, built in voice search not working, uninstall and grab the market. Linaro builds by other makes are reporting static sound and creating more bugs than necessary. I'll see how things go, but next build will be back to the old toolchain.

If the site doesn't support https, then it won't use "https://" and typing https won't force it and it will revert to http. You are accessing web pages that are trying to secure your communications with them. If this bothers you, you'll have to contact the site and demand that they unsecure your communications with them. I know that that sounds pretty stupid to want to do, but it's your information, you should be able to allow everyone to access it.

I don't see where it erases /system. That screenshot looks perfectly normal.

And you restored a previous /system image so of course stuff doesn't work right.

Huh, I don't think I've noticed that before. I guess I'll have to look at my PC an see if that's doing the same thing. Thanks drew.

Downloading now, off to work too.

So, I assume you downloaded the demo. Did you have any results or did it work? I like that program a lot. When I flashed my evo that was the only program I found that worked for me.
I think that is a program I may be willing to pay for. Lol, an that's saying a lot.

Re: [WIP][ROM]COLD AS ICE-CM9 Sprint LS670 6/3 ZVD basesband Alph

nope, you probably could grab the systemUI.apk from the p500 latest roms.

Well, I grabbed it, but simply replacing Kraven's SystemUI.apk with the p500 version doesn't work. Could anyone point me in the right direction on how I could adapt it (or adapt the stock Recent Apps to Kraven's .apk)?

Also, thank you Kraven for your work. I love this ROM, and it's working perfectly as a daily driver for me right now (Alpha 16 (original)). The Sense v. Stock Recent Apps thing is just a personal preference, not a criticisim.

have you tried pulling the systemui.apk from tdm's version to see if it'll work for you?

Thanks for the suggestion! I had, but you made me look again, and it turns out that I was using the wrong one. I had downloaded the VM670 version instead of the LS670 version. I just tried again, and it works. It seems to run a bit smoother for me than the Sense version included in Kraven's ROM, too.

For anyone else looking: The SystemUI.apk from Quattrimus ICS seems to work, and will give you the stock version of Recent Apps. Just make sure you get the right one for your phone! As a warning, I don't know if it changes anything else!

Re: [ROM]COLD AS ICE-CM9 Sprint LS670 6/26 ZVD basesband Alpha16

So I noticed on 16e that if I'm listening to music and I get a text message that the music will go through the speaker for a couple seconds along with the notification sound. Kinda bad when I'm trying to listen to music in bed and scare the crap out of my husband lol.

Wasn't this fixed on earlier builds? I can't remember, as I've flashed back to CM7 a couple of times...

Confirmed it works in CAI 15f, cannot flash any version 16 yet. The Quattrimus updates with the speaker phone fix do the same thing you note, those flash for me, the last build b1p3 works with notifications muting music through headphones. Something in the fix from the p500, since both use that fix, fixed the speakerphone, broke the audio notification routing. ugh.

So...your running 15f and yours so doesn't play part of it through the speaker??
mine does too. Just a little annoying, but very worth it considering we have a better working ICS than factory. I think that's so funny, btw. Small, non-funded community based project that's better than billion dollar efforts. Gotta love open source!! Thanks everyone!! If I could figure a way to blanket thanks everyone here I would!!

CAI 15f does route notifications through the wired headphones, not the speaker.

Hmmm, well via my bt it does either half or not at all.. just an observation. I don't use wired anymore. I hated working and pulling it out of my ear every time I bent over. I splurged an got a jabra icon. So much so, I found a second one on eBay for $30 brand new still in box. Well worth the $
