No offense but I am sticking with thekravens ROMs. His have been the only ones I have used since I got my optimus and I wont change until he does. The modem doesn't make that big of a difference anyway. It's the kernel that dictates how the ROM works. I am with thekraven til he quits.

I'm going through a Linux class atm and I was wondering how you guys edit the scripts and where the files are located.
Also don't know if this has already been established, but the camera works, no camcorder though. Just try taking pictures with it

I was testing this ROM for the past week but it seemed a little sluggish. I don't know if I did something wrong but was anyone else getting laggy loading times and such. For example, when I opened an app such as Gmail where in CM7 it would take almost no time to load just an email of text CM9 seems to take at least 3 seconds or so to load the same email. Maybe I just loaded something wrong I'm not sure. I was overclocked to 787 and on smartassv2 governor btw. I really wanted to use it as a daily driver but I nandroided back to CM7

I don't know if anyone has posted about this or had similar issues, but the google play music app crashes if not streaming with wifi. It doesn't seem to like 3G. And I had that working before flashing this ROM.

It's not just editing scripts I'm afraid, there's some major work involved in this. Somethings you actually have to fix with native C++ (camera drivers for instance) and then you have to compile it and so forth. However, if your wanting to look at scripting, try taking a look at my bugged BT reverse DUN mod, It should give you some ideas on where to place boot scripts. Just unzip the mod.

Try uninstalling the app, removing the device from approved devices in Google Play Music settings, reinstalling the app. Pretty sure that's how I fixed the FC on 3G error this past time.

I have zero issues streaming audo on 3G with this rom. My data connection is solid. WiFi borks itself on occasion, but, it IS still in alpha.
Read in the dev thread for the P500 on xda that lupo and arjen have made some progress on camera. That, would be wicked. That would makes this FULLY functional if his changes get merged. Keeping fingers crossed for cam/bt audio soon!

I tried your suggestion, and it seemed like that might have been one issue, because Google had two of the same phone listed. I uninstalled the app, deauthorized both of them, and then reinstalled (multiple times, each time trying a reboot in between or not).
However, I am still getting the error "Unfortunately, Google Play Music has stopped." and then it FC's. It happens only when I'm trying to stream something. It even starts to load the song part way but still brings up the error. Yet if I switch to wifi, no such problems. Then, this is where the weirdness happens. If I turn back off wifi, after partially loading one song, the 3G works for a while. Earlier, when I encountered this strange behavior, it stayed working for a few songs, but then when I tried again later, it FC'd again. It's a bit odd, but since I have a partial workaround for now, it's not too bad anymore, as long as I have a place for the initial wifi.
I just did a reboot while it was working under 3G via that method, and it appears that on a fresh boot—without wifi on—it still does not work. Again, the wifi-switch method continues makes it work. I am perplexed.
[edit] I'd like to add that most everything else (besides the lack of camera preview) has been blowing me away. To me, there are only a few big bugs that I'm working with.

Is The camera anywhere close to working successfully? What is the ETA for a fully functional everyday use ICS rom? Mid-May to End-May?

You have broken the most important rules of custom ROMs.
No ETAs, don't even ask. Nobody knows when (or even if) anything will get fixed.

I'm running it right now with this ROM, and it's working fine so far.

The camera is actually working fine. You just need to point and shoot. The image won't display on the screen but it will take the picture and save it in Gallery>Camera

It depends which alpha you are using, am I right? I know A8 camera works. But not A9.

I'm using A9 and the camera works. You just can't see what you're doing before you take the picture.
