Data's pretty zippy. MMS works with stock messaging. GPS takes a bit to lock. We'll see how Play Store handles future updates; seems fine right now.

Will test barcode patch soon.

Barcodes fixed in a patch below. I only tested on goggles.

Previews seems more choppy, I'll have a look later at permissions and the code. You probably won't need all the files in the zip, but they got built with the new camera files.

For Alpha 10 test3 only. Not sure what it will do with other builds or previous alphas. More than likely it will boot loop, and you will need to wipe cache/system and reflash your rom.

Wipe cache and flash.

Tested QR scanning with Obsqr. Works great. Preview is definitely laggy, but preview lag is far more tolerable for tasks like qr scanning rather than camera. Camera preview might be slightly more choppy, but not obnoxiously so.

System icons on the launcher shortcuts also look great.

Barcode scanning: Goggles had some weird issues at first (including rebooting my phone), but after repeated poking, exiting the app and returning, etc. it works just fine. Tested it on QR codes from a few different sites.

When I tried it with previous ROMs, it screwed up my GPS so that Foursquare, Yelp, and apps other than Maps couldn't figure out the output it was sending. The "revert to stock" zip never fully worked for me, either. I had to re-flash my ROM and kernel to get GPS actually back to stock and working with all applications.

Ok heres the latest alpha test 3. It doesnt have the last camera patch.

Alpha 10 test 3. This might be close to the final alpha 10 release.

Cleaned up the ramdisk with multiple wifi permissions.
Synced to latest CM9.. now has theme support, adhoc support, lockscreen app widgets. use volume as cursors position in keyboard options.
Androidmeda cleaned up the libaudio, but I didn't see any notes of fixing bluetooth.

For VM users, this has new frameworks so the old patch won't work.
Just use quattimus

No repackaging, or mirrors.

so this won't work on the v at all or are you just saying the button swap won't work? the quattrimus a10 has a bug with downloading apps from the market.

Kernel is already included in the rom. It's test kernel 6, if I remember correctly.

We had a link to that test 6 kernel in the PM and I have gone back and forth between it and Drews HK01pre04 and notice no difference. I think they are the same kernel in actuality, or such a slight difference that a mere mortal cannot detect it.

Based on experience of a couple of us early testers. I'd recommend a FULL WIPE and start clean. If you restore apps with TiBu, restore app only and reenter ALL user data, system and apps.

Lock screen icons will show. Go into the lockscreen settings and when you choose an app, click on the icon to change it. Only system icons work though.

You can still use it with a special keyswap file, but sprint will be all over it.
