[ROM]COLD AS ICE-CM9+Paranoid Android LS670 11/20 ZVD basesband Alpha19

I would really like to know what actually happens, what gets changed, when we put our phones in airplane mode, turn off, pull battery, turn on and leave airplane mode? Why does this give our phones such fantastic battery life? Is it something that can be changed in the kernel? In the rom?

From what I've read, there is a bug in cm9 in general that causes the RILJ wakelock to go crazy, keeping the phone from going into deep sleep. The airplane mode workaround makes it behave for some reason.

Beyond that, someone else will have to go into more detail bc that's the extent of my knowledge on it lol.

Btw kraven, my clock drifted worse than ever this morning...I woke up at 9:30 and my lock screen/status bar said 6:26 :what: Usually it's only off by a few minutes. My clock widget (fancy widgets) is always right though. I'm on alpha10f with the latest test kernel and fixes.

I think us with optimus v should not post bugs on a OS forum.

Will people stop yelling at me for being a v user? Thekraven chose me as a test3 tester and he was fine with me posting bugs.

Should apps like Spotify pipe sound to Bluetooth when a headset is connected? Haven't tried any others, but Spotify definitely doesn't.

Edit: Confirmed not working with Google Play Music, either.

I was posting it here because I was talking about this specific build.

I'd like to see the Optimus V posts start with something like, "On the Optimus V..." since I tend not to look at the fine print in the profiles (which may or may not reflect the device used, since some people have taked about testing with their girlfiend's phone, etc.)

I agree.

On topic -
Kernel 10 and the new boot.img are working great for my Optimus _S_!

With 10f my clock drifted by as much as 48 minutes. Haven't noticed it since the kernel update.

It's just so random...mine seemed to get worse with the latest kernel while others have gotten better. Bleh!

CM9 Alpha 1 build for Sprint optimus S
"COLD AS ICE"
ZVD only

These are public test builds, so expect bugs. There won't be too much to changelogs till Beta. Test away and report bugs and what works for you. ETA's does kill puppies. So don't.

that happens to me, too. however i believe the actual clockdrift problem has to do with the system time in the ROM. That's what clocksync keeps in check. The statusbar and lockscreen clocks just don't update correctly when the phone is in sleep. but after the screen is on for a few seconds, it should update...

Mine is much worse. This was on Friday, May 11 at about 10:00 pm after the phone had been laying on my desk for about two hours untouched! That is WITH clock sync running on auto to update every 15 minutes, anytime, any connected status.

woah. you must have had quite the double-take. lol

Right, it does update after I unlock the screen for a bit. Just kinda a pain when you just wanna check the time real quick :p

Ah well glad to know I'm not the only one lol. I mean...I know it's a known bug, and it doesn't bother me when it's a few minutes off like it has been, but a few hours is just craziness! I do have clock sync set to auto sync every hour on strict interval, but sometimes I'll check the sync history and it'll say the last update was 2-3 hours ago :sly:

Re: [WIP][ROM]COLD AS ICE-CM9 Sprint LS670 5/6 ZVD basesband Alph

So I decided to flash this ROM just for the weekend just to give it a try, I came across a few problems but not really much significant. The very first thing I noticed when loading up for the first time was some overlapping text in the gapps setup stuff. After that everything just seems to work properly, besides the already reported bugs such as clock drifting and no speakerphone.

Here's the broken things I found in my 2 days of ROM usage:
-Overlapping text in gapps setup

-No speakerphone

-Clock drifting (very minimal for me, it seems to just update when I unlock the phone)

-Uptime in settings > about phone > status > uptime is WAY wrong, and only seems to work properly when that menu is open, I have had my phone on for the last 2 days (no random reboots) and it currently says 5 hours 24 minutes. I have a widget that uses it so it's frustrating.

-Google maps crashes when trying to find my location if the GPS hasn't already set the location (aka I have to wait for the GPS to be ready)

I'm having a hard time parting with ICS/CM9 now so I'll probably be using this as my daily unless some really significant problem comes up. I want to thank you kraven for all your hard work and helping bring some bleeding edge to those of us who can't afford it financially like myself. ;) Oh also the GPS on this ROM seems to work a lot better then on CM7, I found myself depending on it this weekend unexpectedly and it worked flawlessly!

5/12/2013 Alpha 10F Test boot 2. Includes test10 kernel, new init.rc more inline with cm9, fixes video cam crashing .... so getting closer. I might need to get the videoeditor put back in but that takes about ~5 MB system space. Videcam still buggy as i see no quality settings and freezes
when making a video.

Download in 2nd post. or below.
