That's interesting. I've noticed that I do not even get garbled audio from my car unit. I'm assuming that its using the HFP of BT, while the garbled audio from the headsets uses (of course) HSP.

It could be that there is an issue in the encode/decode of the stack (modified BlueZ?) for HFP/HSP which use the CVSDM codec, as A2DP uses the SBC / MPEG family of codecs and is just peachy.

I'll try to see what changes in the stack happened between 2.3/4.0 w/r/t HSP etc

it seems obvious there's an encoding error somewhere as it does have sound, just not transmitted correctly. It would almost have to be the difference in codec. I assume 2.3 to 4.0 handles it differently.
Wow, I've worked with computers for 20+ years an didn't even think about that.

Odd. I've been running 11a for 2 days now and I've had zero data issues. Well I take that back. Leaving wifi and switching to data required a toggle dance once

You shouldn't have to use that, let the rom manage it itself. Its built in to ICS. Usually it will mess everything up if your trying to double do it.

Apps2SD is built in not Apps2ext. Most mods also remove any existing ext scripts to prevent boot loops. If your getting one from an apps2ext mod, let it go for a few minutes (mine needed a restart after sitting for about 3 minutes but worked fine after.) Also open the one you're flashing and ensure that it doesn't flash anything to /system/libs or flashing binaries that already exist in the ROM (e2fsck, tune2fs, fsck, etc.) As this will cause either hangs or boot loops. If all else fails, download mounts2sd 2.2.0 from my thread in this sub forum and use it, it's been proven to work with the settings in the thread. (you can try the latest version but I haven't tested it yet)

Edit: alpha 11 is running great Kraven. A few lags here and there but it's still pretty smooth. Love it.

Apollo is dumb. I have all my songs with 600 x 600 album art and it downloads 10 megs of jpgs that do not match my artists. I have pics of Maria Muldaur matched with Robert Balfour. And it thinks Robben Ford is female and Rory Block is male. Silly. You'd laugh at what it matches with Konono Africa.

I'm probably too olde skool. I have music ripped from CDs that I bought in the 80s, and music back into the 1920s, old Paris jazz classics and early Chicago and Delta blues. Plus some very obscure African thumb piano stuff, and Gurf Morlix

At least there is a black theme available now in the Play Store.

mounts2sd 4.4.0 w/ aroma seems to work quite nicely on my 11a. I had a brief moment where everything just stopped working, but I narrowed the fault to the chair-to-keyboard connection.

I can play downloaded/streamed videos with the video player. The "child inappropriate" app that I stream from seems to reboot the rom if I play videos for 10 to 20 minutes.

Other than that, it seems to run pretty well.

Try the airplane mode dance. Turn on airplane mode. Power off. Remove battery and hold power button for 10 seconds, and then replace battery. Power on. Airplane mode off.

New boot.img for alpha 11A in the 2nd post. Technically should work for alpha10G too. Just more wifi permissions and the same alpha10 kernel.
Hopefully it fixes the wifi issue on a clean install.

On 10g with the virgin Mobile fix, I'm using nova prime and every time I reboot the home default gets reset and the widget dies, it's just a blank placeholder. Also I have flext9 keyboard and for some reason I have to open settings and open inputs before it shows up as an input after I reboot it switches back to android keyboard. Video streaming apps such as hbogo and directv and Netflix does not work. Other than that it is extremely stable and just plain awesome.
