was gonna try ot out nut seems like goo's server is down

get this error on both the download link and on goomanager on my phone

I am sure you're sick of me bringing it up, but I did both dirty install, clean install with alpha 15f. Installed it twice and put the fixes on it. But I still can't seem to get 3G on.. I see others say that they have 3G. I don't think it's a hardware issue because I did have it on the builds previous of the alpha 15... :-\

What "fixes" did you put in 15f?

It has all the resent fixes, so that might be what is causing this. (shrug)

I get 3g and data fine. You might look in the OP or the first few posts and find the "data toggle dance" we had to do in the first alpha releases.

You could remove the APK from /system/app manually.

I prefer Ghost Commander to manage files and the system, but I generally recommend leaving the file manager that comes with the CM ROM in place, as it generally has easier package installer integration. You could also use AppQuarantine to get it out of the way.

Sure, fire up adb and use that.
Any file explorer that can get root will do it. Wonder if it can delete itself?
Titanium Backup will remove system apps.

Ah! Thank you! I used the dialer trick and had to switch my radio from CDMA only to auto CDMA. All is now good at my end.

Hope this isn't obvious, but are you on the zvd baseband? Any other and you will have service becides wifi.

Right, I think hlxanthus meant to say that if you're on any other baseband you will NOT have service. So...you're on zvd, correct?

alpha 16 is up.

ALPHA 16 Offline charging added, thanks tdm. Still a bit buggy, so when you are plugged in and it reboots, it goes to charging. SO press and hold the power till you see the bootanimation. Lockscreen icons are smaller. Different CAF audio files from team lgics. I think in past quattrimus builds this gave a no mic during calls. Let me know. Latest CM9 sync. Test 15 kernel included for now. Latest CM9 sync.

Oops.

What I meant to ask was about getting a white screen in gmail. When I try to read a message the text of the email will appear for a second and then it turns white......nothing in the body of the email remains

Vanished text in gmail is a well known and well documented bug. Reboot, and it will go away. There is no permanent fix (yet)

I downloaded alpha 16 but it will not load past the cid loading screen. I wiped everything and can't seem to get it to work, anyone else having issues? I'm going to try and re-download it in a few to make sure it wassent a bad copy
