I installed 'PIMP MY ROM' last night.
I think I may have selected a wrong option somewhere, because after it rebooted, it looked like it did a factory wipe.

One of the questions was if this was a 'Standard ICS ROM' or if this was an 'AOSP ICS ROM'.

Which one should I choose?

Standard could mean oem builds, AOSP is cm9, AOKP, oxygen...
I haven't looked at those tweaks, so I'm not sure.
From what I saw, most of the build.prop tweaks are there already. Zip align, network speed tweaked already. Just do a backup beforehand.

Thanks Kraven. Have you already tried installing 'PIMP MY ROM' yet with CAI by any chance?

Also, I found a few CM10 development projects for our LG Optimus S. Are there any recommendations for CM10 on our phone, that is rock solid/stable and fast??

This is freaking amazing. I can't believe how responsive and slick this is on this old phone. Very, very nicely done.

My ONLY issue is with video playback. I made some Optimus S optimized videos using hand brake and they don't really play very well. Slow and crummy. I tried the MX Player recommended in this thread and no luck. Still crummy. Any further developments on the video playback front?

Yeah hq youtube is fixed using ffmpeg. It will be in the next build.

installed this last night, currently running the unsupported zvd>zvj patch and the 18b(?, the latest build in the rom download list). so far all is well, and tested bluetooth music. Much to my surprise, it even passed track metadata to my Mazda 3's stereo

I'm running the latest build of CAI (18b). Does that already include the fixes for the clock lag and the GMail whitescreen issues? If not, are they available?

Alpha 18c is uploaded. Flash kernel 21 if the new kernel has clocklag. No gmail fixes yet.

I fixed panoramic again, I forgot to revert stuff for alpha19. See post 2 for the file. The preview seems more smoother when taking a panoramic photo.

Hi all
I flashed CAI 18b last night, and it's pretty sweet but I'm getting really bad 3G, as some other users have reported in this thread. Maybe I missed it but I haven't found a solution, other than re-flashing (which I'm trying now). It switches between wifi and 3G without much hassle, but once it's on 3G it's very slow, and very picky about whether it wants to work at all. The icon is usually grey instead of blue. Any thoughts?

Also, I noticed the instructions say to "wipe boot" - does anyone know how that is done with CWM? I found an option for 'format boot' under mounting and storage, but I know better than to go around formatting things without knowing what I'm doing.

Clean installed 18c today, restored many apps from backup. They did not install to sd-ext. I had (and have) TiBu set to install to the "default" location.

Edit: Mounts2SD, when properly applied, made everything work as expected. I take that back. Experiencing some issues that I think are a result of Mounts2SD. Ugh. Please, please fix the in-ROM scripting so that things move to sd-ext as best fits the ROM.
