Huh???? When is it safe to flash roms again???

Did I miss something here??? Sprint pushing what to you when you sleep??? What...an update???

For one thing "you" as the user have to except the update. This ain't webOS where after x mount of days they force it on you, its Android.

Also if your posting in this thread... You do know that Decks is a AOSP rom. Sprint's not pushing anything to us... theres not even the option to update this rom unless you flash the zip from Decks forum. Check in settings, theres not even a section there to check for an updates of any kind. That leads me to believe that its not even built into this rom.

That's why when you need to update prl's and profiles you need to flash back to A Sense rom.

wish i had some honeycomb love

Really!!!! Where are we going to fit it??? The devs have there hands full shoe horning 2.3 and Sence 3.0 in our evo's. Now you want Honeycomb, a os that was designed from the ground up to run on tablets!!!

And before anyone starts posting links to xda showing honeycomb booting up on the eVo... you need to check thread counts, there's not many.

The closest we'll see to Honeycomb on our evo's is when "IceCream" leaks and a dev poets it to us.

whats a honeybread theme? sound intresting

There are a few themes on the market for CM(most of them will work on Decks... same theme engine) that gives us things like the honeycomb icons, and wallpaper and will change the system colors to blue.

really need to flash something all the bloat i see is making me mental

This is where you lost me. Really sounds like someone unrooted and did the update????

^^ What he said.

Every since I've been on AOSP ROMs I haven't gotten any prompts asking me to update anything. Android doesn't MAKE you update OS versions.

I think I remember reading there was an issue someone was having with WiFi not staying connected. I'm having similar issue; is there a kernel that handles wifi better?

Well I've been watching the posts here to see how this rom was really going to work. So today I decided to take the plung. All I can say is sweeeeeet. And so far everything works.

So let me get this straight. This is a working ROM for last weeks GB 2.3 update?

excuse me if that makes no sense. I haven't rooted my phone and I have no idea what I'm doing :) lol... I just heard that after the GB update, people weren't able to root the EVO.

IF the above is correct... could I root my phone using "unrevoked" and then install this ROM? Is it that easy? (Probably not, but who knows!)

From what I gather, not if you've done the OTA. Are you still on froyo, then yes, it would work.

I just flashed the rooted OTA as I was rooted with Froyo. Not as scary as I thought it would be. I was rooted but never changed roms.

What's OTA? I currently have Android 2.3.3 and all i've ever done is update the phone via it's "software update" from within the phone.

This ROM was out before last weeks GB 2.3 update.

If you updated your EVO to 2.3 then you can't root as of right now but if you're still on Froyo (2.2) then you should be able to use unrevoked still. I used unrevoked on my phone after updating to Froyo.

No, this has nothing to do with the update Sprint pushed a few days ago. This is a 98% stock AOSP ROM. The only thing that doesn't make it total stock is that it has a few of the CyanogenMod extras baked in. You can root using unrevoked if you haven't update to the official GB build.

Gotcha! Alright, thanks fellas! Last question... is there a thread you guys can link me to with updates on when the 2.3 will be able to get unrooted?
