Sure thing! 1.2y is rock solid!! Deck is the man! Got bluetooth keyboard working and verified GPS is working. Gonna send a pic mail to make sure MMS is working. Wifi is working, but haven't tried 4G yet. There are a few spots on my drive home from work that have really strong reception, so I will pull over and check 4G out to make sure it's all good as well. Smooth as butter like always

When I launched the Market app, all my previously installed apps reinstalled again! This was awesome. Make sure you turn your WiFi on first though, cuz reinstalling 30+ apps over 3G takes a while. Enjoy guys and gals!

And I can confirm everything's working in the "y" version update straight out of the box, that's everything but Bluetooth. Do use it or have any Bluetooth devices to test.

OK...so I have a question and will admit to not having read every thread about the ROM before asking. I'm digging the ROM, which I'm using with LauncherPro because that's what I'm familiar with. But one thing I notice is the lack of widgets, particularly weather widgets, that are available to me. I have Beautiful Widgets installed, but they don't show up. I have Weatherbug Elite and The Weather Channel installed, but no widgets. Am I doing something wrong?

I use Fancy Widget Pro for my clock/weather home screen widget and it works just fine. I'm not using LauncherPro though. I am assuming you have used these other widgets with LauncerPro before and they worked?

I am now seeing a problem with my 3G radio when I have my bluetooth keyboard connected. Any app that I launch that needs data times out and says no data connection available. When I turn off the BT radio all data starts working again in the same apps. The change log for 1.2y says he made a change to the bluetooth driver, so this may be a contributing factor. Guess we should report our bugs to the XDA site and hope he get's them fixed in the next release. What bluetooth issues are you seeing SouthPhilly?

Check to see where those apps are installed. If their installed or you moved them to your SDcard you will not beable to use their Widgets. If that doesn't work try uninstalling the apps, reboot your eVo and reinstall the apps again.

Let us know how you make out.

Sorry I misread what you said. I though you were saying that everything but bluetooth was working, but you were acutally confirming that everything was working but bluetooth since you don't use it. I guess it's one of those things that can be read in different ways where it can actually mean something different depending on the way you read it. So, I hit the XDA thread and there are other over there reporting that the 3G radio is acting flaky or not at all! Maybe it's time for a radio update? I haven't updated radios in quite a while. Either that or I'm going to nandroid back to 1.2u where I was rock solid and wait for 1.2z.

Check to see where those apps are installed. If their installed or you moved them to your SDcard you will not beable to use their Widgets. If that doesn't work try uninstalling the apps, reboot your eVo and reinstall the apps again.

Good call. I had forgotten about that. When I flashed the latest ROM, I let Titanium do a batch move of my apps to the SD card. Soon as I moved the weather apps back to the phone, there were the widgets. Thanks.

Now I got a quick question for everyone running this rom as there daliy driver.

What kernel are you running(version,type"havs..SBC) what hardware build is your evo (002, 003 or 004) and how its working for you.

I'll start:

Hardware version: 003
Kernel: 2.6.37.6 cyanogenmod(baked into rom)

So far its the only kernel I have run with this rom. I tried out an older Tiamat one awhile ago, I think it was in the 3.x.x. life cycle of this kernel. I had a few issues with it that from what I can remember weren't really rom related but radio issues.

I ask cause I hardly ever see any real discussion about what's being used here in this thread. And I want to get some input on what's being used out there.

One thing I noticed in going from x to y is that it's significantly faster, at least perceptually... GPS issues (for me) are gone. From what I;m hearing though, from people I talk to, there is something wrong with Bluetooth all of a sudden. I can't remember which version it started with, but I usually have to turn BT off in the middle of conversations because most people can't hear what I'm saying... not necessarily a bad thing all the time...

I decided to backup my 1.2v today and then try out the new radios, wasn't liking a sudden drain I was getting so I wiped and flashed my backup and I'm seemingly already on the latest radios (05.02) with 1.2v. Just trying to see if this is right or if I have to take another step to get an older radio flashed to this thing.

Radios are independent of roms. If you want to downgrade your radios, go back to the thread you got the radio updates and find the ones you want and reflash them.

Yes, flash those as well as the radio update for maximum signal reception. I would however make a backup of your RSA keys before flashing, just in case.

I think you can mix and match them.... but not a 100% sure on that one. I do know there is a certain order they all need to be flashed. Not sure as to what thy order is but... I do know its important to to flash the radios right to avoid a bricking.

I usually just wait for a all in one zip to do my radio updates. And to update my prl and profile info, I flash my nandroid backup of a stock Sense based rom. Then just flash back to the rom setup (nandroid) I like.
