[ROM][GINGERBREAD] CyanogenMOD 7 Nightly Builds.

I have added a new link to the OP under the kernels section for Chad's new app, Incredicontrol, to go along with his awesome Incredikernel. This app allows you to turn on USB Fast Charge or Audioboost, and also provides a super easy interface for changing your voltages on the fly.

Chad actually just released it on the Market: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.incredicontrol

There is also an ad free version available for $3.99, that everyone should purchase to support this awesome dev.
For sure. His kernels are sweet. I have tried the free version and it is solid.

Everytime i take a picture my phone freezes and resets it self. I got nightly 151 with muiu camera. Anyone else run into this....?

IMO The miui camera is not reliable. It always causes me issues. I have tried many different versions.. I just used the stock CM7 camera at this point. It takes good pictures, but more importantly I don't have to worry about phone freezing when I want to take a picture. Very frustrating.

Known issue with MIUI Camera on CM7, it has been confirmed multiple times in this thread. I am considering removing it from the OP since CM7 now has touch-to-focus.

Awesome! I'm about to flash Fast Charge Enabler right now. I rarely plug into my laptop at work to charge anymore since I have the 2150 battery but having the option to fast charge is nice. :D

Now my newb question... Where do I enable the fast charge?

No need for all that flashing business guys, check out my post earlier or in the OP about Chad's new Incredicontrol app on the Market. Let's you turn on USB Fast Charge from within the app, as well as raise or lower voltages.

thinking of trying a kernel flash for the first time and wondering if i can use rom manager to flash it, if not what is recommended? if different steps can you post a link. Thanks guys.

Did you try disabling Auto Flash?

I would flash a Kernel manually in Recovery - not ROM Manager, just clear Dalvik and Cache and you'll be OK.

First you need to put kernel on your sdcard by connecting you phone to computer by usb cord or another way is to download with your phones browser.

If you hook phone to computer you have to make sure the connection is selected to connect by disk drive instead of charge only .
place the kernel on the root of your sd card ( not in any folder)

If you download with your phone's browser it will be found in the "download folder" on your sd card.
if you use your phone's browser to download you need to make sure you have check :"unknown sources" so it will download without getting an error. To get to this its : Menu button>settings>applications> and make sure unknown sources box is ticked.

Next you need to get to Hboot
power phone down
Next when you power phone back up hold down volume rocker and power button at sametime
this take you to Hboot
use volume rocker to scroll to Recovery then press power button(to execute)
this take you to Clockwork Mod Recovery
use volume rocker to scroll to wipe cache partition
NOW instead of using power button to execute use trackpad to execute
wipe cache
scroll to advance Advance, puch trackpad to execute
scroll to wipe dalvik cache, again push trackpad to execute
Now push power button to go back a page
scroll to install zip from sdcard, execute by pushing trackpad
scroll to choose zip from sdcard

Depending how you put kernel on your phone depends on where the kernel is at if you hook to computer just scroll down til you see the kernel it wil probably last in the list of stuff showing.Once you find the kernel execute by pressing track pad. Then reboot you may need to press power button to go back to a page til tou see reboot your phone as an option to select

If you install kernel by using your phone's browser it will be in the "download folder" just scroll to you see this folder in the list push trackpad to open folder and you will see kernel, and install by pressng trackpad, then reboot phone

Main thing to remember is when you are in Clockwork Mod you use the trackpad instead of power button to execute

hope i was clear enough , ask questions if you need more answers or if I confused ya ;)

For those of you who have been following this thread since its inception, I suggest going back and reading through the first 5-10 pages. It's crazy how far this thread has come since then. I'm especially impressed with our old friend ssethv, even though he abandoned us not too long ago. This thread rules, even though it seems like there is only a few of us left haha

I'll be visiting this thread as long as I have DInc which will be a long time thanks to root.

Sent from my HTC Droid Incredible

I float in and out of it. Back in when I'm using CM7, and out when I'm getting a "Sense fix".

The CM7 thread is the Energizer Bunny of the Inc thread!! F-yeah!!

Yeah I am likely going to be around for a while too. I am waiting on some next gen 4G devices from Verizon. I basically want the DInc 2 (form factor not necessarily HTC phone) with more RAM, a better screen and LTE. Waiting to see what comes in the future.

I love this stuff so much, after only 5 days, that yesterday I was online looking to see if the guys from CM had something for my DX. I wasn't gonna root it because it's still under warranty and if something happens I can get a new device but man, I'm hooked on the way my DInc works after root.

Long Live CM!!!

If something happens just restore original sense image. Turn S-off and turn it back in. Heck My Fiance has done it twice...once I didn't even bother turning S-off!!! They don't check at the store typically

Well the DInc isn't covered under warranty because I got it via craigslist.com. The DX though is under warranty still. Any info on if CM has something for the DX? I couldn't find anything...

I just tried to flash 153 from 124 by clearing cache and dalvik and the phone did not like it. Since I didn't want to go through setting everything back up, I went back to 124.

Just FYI. Unless you flash every nightly or every few nightlies, if you make a jump like this you may need to do a full wipe.

Unless something major comes out, I don't even see a need for me to flash anything after the 151 I'm on.
