[ROM][GINGERBREAD] CyanogenMOD 7 Nightly Builds.

Well the DInc isn't covered under warranty because I got it via craigslist.com. The DX though is under warranty still. Any info on if CM has something for the DX? I couldn't find anything...[/FONT]

They do have have CM7 for the DX, although because of that locked bootloader it is a very different experience than on the Incredible for flashing ROMs.

I love this stuff so much, after only 5 days, that yesterday I was online looking to see if the guys from CM had something for my DX. I wasn't gonna root it because it's still under warranty and if something happens I can get a new device but man, I'm hooked on the way my DInc works after root.

Long Live CM!!!

And as mentioned there is a CM for DX I have used it on my DX and probably will flash it again this weekend.
As far as the warranty goes its pretty easy to SBF the DX back to a total stock rom, either if It is on Froyo or the official GingerBread release and will be like its never rooted at all,, so no one would ever know .
If you SBF it back,, it will be on a non rooted froyo if needed for warranty purposes, but if you need it back on a non rooted GingerBread its just a matter of flashing that rom after you SBF(links in the DX section for that rom).Or after you SBF back to froyo to just wait and receive the official GingerBread via OTA
Kinda similar to running the Ruu on incredible but not exactly ,but just as easy to do .

Took the plunge from Skyraider 4.3 to CM 154 nightly

I did a factory reset/wipe, cache wipe, and Dalvik wipe. I then flashed CM and after that I flashed GAPPS.

Upon getting set up it asked which Google apps I wanted installed. I selected the ones I wanted and then hit continue. I then started getting FC after FC. Once everything settled down, I went into the market and selected "my apps" and then got another FC stating "The process android.process.media has stopped unexpectedly. please try again"

When I searched for the gmail app and selected it I got the same error message. I'm not sure what I did wrong if anything.

When I try to search within the market, all the options that usually come up below the search field as you type say "java.lang.NullPointerException"

I also noticed that all the things I selected to install from Google when I was doing the set up did not install.

Any suggestions?

I would recommend you start over... I never use the app kitchen personally. Download apps you want on your own or use busy box or titanium backup to restore apps you want. Do factory resest, wipe both types of cache then flash nightly #154, and then flash Google Apps:

I didn't reflash anything, I just started downloading all the apps individually from the market or TIB. I'm not sure what the app kitchen is, as I did just what you had said. Wiped everything. Flashed CM 154, then flashed GAPPS from 6/13, and when I rebooted, that's when all the force closings happened.

Oh well, it's working fine now. First AOSP ROM I've tried. Very impressed so far. I thought I might be a person who leans towards a Sense ROM, but this style doesn't bother me at all.

Anyone having issues with 153 or 154? I flashed 153 a couple days ago and everything is laggy and a lot of FCs...same with 154 today...

Aside from the FC's I spoke about a few posts back, I have only had 1 FC with version 154, but it didn't seem to impact anything as I went on using the phone just fine. Nothing seemed to be interrupted or closed down.

154 is my first foray into CM, so I'm not sure about 153 or earlier. I did 2 factory resets, 2 cache wipes and 2 dalvik wipes before flashing the ROM and GAPPS, and everything seems to be running smoothly.

I was thinking that same thing...I might remove incredikernel altogether...
I have incredicontrol but I don't really use it. I still power down and charge over night so no real need for usb quick charge. Shoot, I'm at about 9 hrs unplugged right now and only down to 85% of my 2150mAh

Yeah, apparently I flashed the auto start feature of fast usb charge and didn't realize it. Still a great rom and kernel, just not using fast charge anymore.

Cron can you lend a hand with setting up voltages in Incredicontrol? I'd like to take advantage of the tool but am not sure how to set it up. So far, I'm only using Audioboost.

First thing you should know is that everyone's phone is different, so while some can lower their voltages by quite a bit, others can barely lower them at all. So the best way is to experiment and see what setup is stable for you. If you undervolt too far, it could cause freezes, reboots, or even bootloops.

Voltages always adjust in -25mv or +25mv increments. So the easiest way to get started is with a small -25 undervolt all the way around. So press the "-" button on the "All Min" and "All Max" sides, then scroll down and press apply. Try a few processor intensive tasks such as using the camera, or playing a graphics heavy game, to see how it holds up. If everything seems stable, go back into Incredicontrol and select the "Set on Boot" option. After that, go ahead and try undervolting by another -25mv, and see how that holds up.

Never check "Set on Boot" until you know for sure your phone is stable at the current undervolt.

No problems. Running 157 on my DINC and it is smooth like butter!~ Also, love the fast USB charging. Charges pretty damn quick, at least twice as fast as before. Any lag issues have always been a clear cache before I upgrade issue or kernel issue for me... A fresh install is always smooth..

I have been thinking about doing a wipe and fresh install...it's just such a pain in the butt to reload my apps and everything...meh...

Titanium Backup is your friend, even though the Pro version is expensive, it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. Trust me. When you have nearly 80 apps like I do, it makes restoring a breeze. Just make sure you never backup system data. Just Apps+Data. The built-in backup tool for ADW or Launcher Pro is handy too. Although ADW's backup function can be a bit inconsistent.

ok...so my phone just started to FC on everything...no matter what it was. I tried rebooting, and nothing. So I downloaded 158, and erased the old zip files from my card, and turned off my phone to charge to reflash the new nightly with a stronger battery. About 5 minutes later it turned itself on, and has been stuck on the cyanogenmod 7 screen with the arrow chasing itself around in a circle. It has been here for a few minutes...any help?

Well, after a while, I just pulled the battery, booted into recovery, data wiped, wiped cache, wiped dalvik a few times, and reflashed everything...sigh...now the reload begins...
