[ROM][GINGERBREAD] CyanogenMOD 7 Nightly Builds.

Well RC4 fixed my BT problems. I got connected after a full wipe and hard reset of the BlueAnt. Yeaaaa I can drive again without worrying about getting a ticket!
Sux you had to do a full wipe (but i don't feel bad for you ;) you said it only takes you like 30 mins for your setup.... Im glad you got everything working for you... I didn't have any BT issues at all on 31 or 32.

Also, I decided to flash RC 4 last night... we'll see how it goes... i also agree with WANDA :)

Nah I don't know where he lives, but I live in florida and they don't give a crap generally if you talk on your cell phone and drive :-)

Been running and messing with RC4 for about 45 mins. No appreciable change but then I wouldn't expect any groundbreaking changes from here out. Pretty sure I read on CM website that its all pretty much refining since RC2 until they dub it "stable". Still running well, high speed/low drag.

Same here Wanda. I flashed RC4 when I got home last night. No big changes or differences. I'm interested to see how it performs today compared to RC3 over the past 2 days.

I'm in SC and I thing state lawmakers are looking at a "handsfree law". I know a lot of cities in the upstate area have passed "must have handsfree devices" citations.

Not to go off topic but if it's the NOVA I grew up in (and don't really dig) then the Police DO give a crap (or they used to) and love to write tickets...they're frustrated with all the "Diplomat" plates driving around like mad that they can do nothing about.

VA does not have hands free yet, but MD and DC do and the Sheriff is always looking for Distracted verging on reckless with a hint of aggressive driver to write a ticket for. And you're right Wanda, those Diplomat plates make them grumpy! Thank goodness Haynesworth still lives in the area! ;)

There are 2 bills in(state house or senate) wanting to ban all cell phone use ,even handsfree usage in North Carolina.I dont think they will pass(hope not).Already have ban for driving and texting

sent using TaPaTaLk

well, I need to correct myself, It is illegal in some counties; BUT not in Jacksonville... thank goodness..... and since I text mostly, it is a good thing that I have google voice for texting, websurfing, and tapatalk ;) I just wish it could be a hologram on my windshield (that way i could at least pay better attention to the road) :)

Hey Pville, can anyone tell me what radio i SHOULD be running using CM7 on my droid inc....

this is NOT my question, just trying to help a friend out... perhaps a link will help, or just an answer :)

I'm running the 2.15.00.07.28 Stock radio with no problems. Some folks like the newer EVO radio. I just never had a need to upgrade.

So I flash RC 4 and have seen no noticable differences. Like wanda said, I think we are pretty much set with our phones :) oh well,, I love CM and am never going back.........

Okay. So here is my situation, I am going on vacation tomorrow and would like to revert back to a different rom, Something close to stock maybe virtuous at least something with 720 p recording and good camera quality... Any suggestions? As soon as I get back from my vacation and get my pictures and videos on my phone I am coming back to cm :-) Also I know I will have to do a full wipe what is the best method to get all of my apps back and the easiest way to do it I had a real Hard time coming from another rom to this rom. I have the free version of titanium but all that does it is remind me of what apps I used to have I would like to use something that will just automatically Reinstalled my apps, is that possible!?

I use Titanium Backup Pro to backup my apps and app data only. I never backup system data with TB tho since when switching roms it could cause conflicts.Titanium backup Pro cost 2 dollars I think I had it awhile so not positive on price .
Also there is "My Backup Pro" which also saves you app and your app data if you want , as well as sms, emails, etc. It cost a couple bucks to for the pro version of my backup.
I have then both but I use Titanium Backup pro most times when restoring apps when I rom hop ;)

linked is the user guide for titanium Backup I found the other day

I have been toying with MIUI (gingerbread) over the last few days, and I really like it. I have ADW running as the launcher (I used titianium to remove the stock launcher, too) and it seems very stable. The camera is great and allows for video recording in 720 p.

As for the best way to restore your apps, titanium backup (free) will do it. Before you wipe, go to the Backup/Restore tab. Hit the "menu" softkey, and you can do a batch backup (RUN Backup all user apps).

When you move over into your next ROM, install titanium again, and go to the bottom of the Backup/Restore area again. You can restore apps by tapping the program you want to restore. Hit the "Restore" button (after you enable installing apps from non market sources) and it'll ask you to install, exactly as it would from the market.

So what your saying IS I don't need to pay for the PRO version... and I can get the SAME results with the Free version??? I just SOOO don't want to lose all my apps like last time... I was a noob and didn't know all the tricks, i even had titanium(free) but it didn't work right for some reason...

The free version is limited to one backup (it will make as many backups as you want, but it'll only save the most recent one) and you can't freeze apps (but you can uninstall anything), but the restore functionality is exactly the same.

Another option is to use the SuperManager program you introduced me to. If you have given it root access, go to Backup Restore then select "ALL to smbk file". You can restore this on the new rom with the "Restore from smbk file" and it'll let you select the backup date you want to use. It'll then allow you to select the apps you want to restore. I'd only try to restore using one of these apps (supermanager or titanium), but you can backup with both in case one doesn't work for whatever reason.

Of course, you'll also want to make a nandroid of your CM7 setup.

Thank you very much for your help, but I think I might end up just taking my regular Camera with me instead. Just seems like way too much work just to use my phone has a camera ;)

ALSO... I must say, for a free app, SuperManager app, Does ALOT of stuff, i never really realized it.... even the tutorial is almost 70pages long... pretty impressive

I am amazed at it, too. My only complaint for a long time was that there was always a process running in the background. Then, today, I found an option to turn it off. I think this might be the best app on market for root users.
