[ROM][GINGERBREAD] CyanogenMOD 7 Nightly Builds.

I was having trouble all morning long until just now. it just worked for me and the most recent nightly is still #58...

Just a matter of time till I come back ;) I love CM7 but the battery life isn't quite as good as another ROM at the moment... any suggestions as to why? I am actually contemplating doing a full wipe and starting from scratch with CM7, maybe that would make a difference.?..

I assume you're using incredikernel w/ smartass enabled. You might want to toggle radios as you need them. I only run radios I need when I need them. Saves them from draining the battery searching for signal or pinging for a connection. My wife calls me a radio fascist!

You assumed correctly, my settings are 128 - 883. I tend to underclock... I am not very familiar with toggling radios it is something I have never get my hands into. Of course you know have peaked my curiosity, and I would like to learn more where can I find information so I can read, Read, read, and read some more...

Easy read - just use the power widget in the notification bar to turn the GPS, BT and Wi-Fi on and off as needed. Even if nothing is using them they will ping out and search for signal as long as they are on. Short electronics lesson - if a radio is off it does not use power - if a radio is on it will use power to either ping for a connection, poll for a connection or maintain a connection.

Noobish question, I'm running CM7 0.2.1 but I want to switch to nightly 58 since it seems to fix the "display" issue that myself and some other Dink users have been having. Do I have to do a full wipe or can I just go ahead and flash nightly 58 over 0.2.1? And di I also need to reflash Incredikernel and gapps again?

I just flashed the new nightly right over the stable rom, I had no issues... But as always, make a nandroid first :-)

I'm assuming you already know this, but just in case you forgot.... Don't forget to wipe regular cache and dalvik cashe between flashing any new nightly... A full wipe is not necessary

I've never gone from one version of CM7 to another before so I didn't know that. Thanks for the info!

The very first post of this thread answers that question. Please read the OP.

OK - So I was in West Virginia today - don't ask - and I was roaming on Extended Network (it's a Sprint area). I could recieve calls, text's and 1x data, but I could not make calls. I have System Select set to Automatic and roaming enabled in Mobile Network Settings, and I did a *228 Roaming table update just a few days ago. Has anyone else been on an Extended Network and not be able to make calls?

That's a strange one.... I live in an area that gets great 3g and 4g coverage, but sometimes I drive through the boondocks (not very often, I live in a metro area) but when I have I noticed that I was roaming or extended and had no issues making calls or recieving calls...

Keep me posted if you figure out the fix to the issue or a reason why...
