[ROM][GINGERBREAD] CyanogenMOD 7 Nightly Builds.

Hmm...quiet day for the old CM7 thread #111 is cool..I guess...I don't really notice much improvement, they're all pretty awesome as far as I can tell.

Yep, quiet day as far ac CM7 is concerned. At this point I'm thinking that the nightlies are about as stable as they are going to get, and Team Cyanogenmod are just killing a few last bugs and testing a few new features before the next stable release.

I have not flashed 111 yet, and unless I am mistaken, after straying to MIUI for a bit, I returned 110 and 419 Incredikernel from a full wipe, and I have been very pleasantly surprised with the best battery life since I got my Dinc. I guess it is possible Verizon put up a new tower near my work place, but I do not think so :)

Time will tell if this continues.

Glad to hear that your getting good battery life with CM7. I had noticed that my battery life was actually getting worse with the latest batch of nightlies, but I figured that flashing over fifty nightlies one on top of the other without a full wipe had something to do with it. So I did a full wipe going from 110 to 111, calibrated my battery, drained the battery completely, then charged it to 100% uninterrupted. We'll see how it goes, but so far my it seems to have worked. *crosses fingers* :)

I flashed Chad's latest this morning as well. Time will tell how well it works, and I still have beta 8 on my SD card just in case, but so far so good. :)

I know it will probably seem like I am plugging a thread of my own, but I just wanted to point out viperMOD to everyone, since we are already on the subject of battery life. Basically a shell script that runs in a Terminal and allows you to edit your voltages to maximize battery life. I currently have mine undervolted by about -75mv, which gives me at least 2 hours of extra battery life everyday. Some of you guys may be able to undervolt even more, check it out. If you have any questions, ask them in that thread, lets not clutter this one anymore! ;)

I'll just leave this here....

Downloading #113 and prepping for a clean install.

I downloaded 113 and was preparing for a flashover of 111, which I installed fresh yesterday, and I stupidly selected Factory Reset, and have no NANDROID of it... Luckily, I have other ROMs to boot into quickly, but man, is that annoying.

Tell me about it. I didn't do a clean install cause I wanted to...

Hey Stig, can you toss a "picard face-palm" my way? I'd do it myself if i could find it.

This might not be anything new to any of you, but if you really like a theme except for a detail or two, UOT Kitchen is a pretty remarkable resource, especially for CM7. It allows you to upload a TMobile theme, modify it as you desire (changing battery, icons, the statusbar notification window stuff, overscroll glow color, popup behavior, and more), and install it as a selectable theme.

I've been playing with it to tweak Honeybread to include this battery icon
rodykimage.php
and to change the powerwidget background to black from gray and am really happy with the results.

Does that UOT Kitchen app have stuff built in or do you need to grab the icons from somewhere?

It has all the icons built in and allows customization for pretty much all of them, too. It actually won't let you add other stuff in, either, but the selection is pretty great.
