[ROM][GINGERBREAD] CyanogenMOD 7 Nightly Builds.

Have any of you been pushed the new market yet? I downloaded the APK a while ago but deleted it to get it pushed to me ( just in case they updated it from the version I found). Still waiting to get it pushed though!

I just installed the .apk as soon as it was available. I've never been one to wait for updates to get pushed out, but I guess that's why we're all here isn't it?

I did. They are just rolling it out slowly - you'll get it eventually. Check My apps every once in a while.

haha I know but I read about some issues with the APK so I figured it might be an earlier build or something.

I had issues with updating some apps at first, but I haven't had any issues recently. Apps would show with updates available, but as soon as I would go to that app to update, I would only have the "Open" or "Uninstall" options.

/offtopic I was recently promoted within my local Best Buy to the position of "Tablet Specialist", so hopefully we'll see less iPad sales and more Honeycomb tabs on the loose. :P

with cm7, i cannot connect to my sync to google. I have lost all my apps, contacts, and calender info. I have my photos though oddly enough. Any suggestions? when i go it has a pop up of "setup could not finish - unable to open connection to server. " any ideas of how to restore everything i backed up since i only have rom manager left. Not titanium back up access of sms/mms back up or root backup which i had previous. Thanks ahead of time for any suggestions to help finish the roim.

Did you flash GAPPS? - There is a link in the ROM's and Mods thread as well as in the OP for this thread.

i must have missed the check box through rom manager, is there a way to adjust after the fact? or what procedure should i go through now? thanks for the patience- its the first hack into phone so i am still learning it.

ok, that worked, thanks a lot. the only thing I see missing so far is no voice commands or voice text for the navigation. oh, and will the rom help battery life or should I be upgrading the kernel as well? thanks guys loving this so far!

Give the stock kernel a day or two and see how your battery life holds up. If you have any concerns about the life of your battery, go ahead and flash the most recent version of Incredikernel, available in the OP.

You can install Voice Search from the market. That will include all the voice actions for Nav etc..

I haven't changed kernels with CM7, and I am more than happy with it. Battery life 3 times better than it was with the stock Sense.

I feel like such a schmoe... I only today noticed that CM7 has integrated WiFi hotspot/tethering. I've been running a 3rd party app to accomplish it. I only stumbled across it when I finally got around to changing the power control buttons in the notification bar. =/

Dang I had GPS on the whole time since rooting. I 'never' use GPS unless I'm traveling. Just found out after text navigation to see if I had the voice after reading an above post. I expect to see even better battery life after turning that off.

Signal strength dBm never changes from 85 though it changes if you view in settings. How can I fix that?
