Flashed.

So far, so good. The first thing I noticed is signal strength went from -79 to -64. Very nice.

Read through the change logs since the 151 (my last flash) and after 166 I didn't see anything that moved me.

I'm still sitting on .13* (can't remember exact version anymore it's been a while), will the latest still play nice or should I completely wipe again?

The only problem i have with CM7 is that i dislike the ringtones/notifications very much. :( But other than that, it's the business!!

Try ZEDGE app fool! Its free and there are many many ringtones, notifications tones, wallpapers. Its not CM7's job to make ringtones lol!! They include it cause they're cool like that.

LOL

I didn't mean it was their job to give me good ringtones. Haha I appreciate the tip on Zedge though. I'm not a huge ringtone person. I usually use 1 ringtone for calls and 1 notification tone for everything else.

Big shout out to JoshDavidson reminding me about Zedge. I love Android like no other but iPhone has some notifications that I like and I was able to find them on Zedge.

About to flash new radio then 166, on 80 or 90-something now. Hopefully that might help my issue some.

But I need to know how to determine what is DEVOURING my battery. I have the Seido Innocell 1750 & hardly ever download any apps so there's only so much that could be draining it. I turn it off at night so that it gets the full bump charge yet my gf's Incredible 2 kills mine in battery life.

Ex: Sat we both take off charger at 10 am. She texts, talks, and plays games the majority of a 2 hour car ride. I check a couple texts and an email, that's it. By noon I have 75% she has 90%. She continues to use hers a ton and I only check my texts a couple times per hour. Yet by 5 pm I'm needing a charge at 14% and she's still at 69%. Could it be my ROM or how can I investigate this?

Thanks!

I just flashed back to #164. Been having a real problem with Bluetooth. After turning BT off I can't make or receive calls until I reboot. Hoping this fixes it otherwise I need to go back to #15x :(

Shamless plug for Chad over at incredikernel.com. I use his 081511 kernel with Smartass governor set at 128/844 and get really great battery life.
I've actually been using his governor since Saturday night but it's only made a minimal difference. There's still got to be something draining my battery so quickly.

Menu-->settings-->About Phone--> battery use. Find what App is using battery. Force Stop it or uninstall. Also manage 3G...Turn it off when not using it. This goes for WIFI and GPS as well

I stay on Wifi all the time at home as all the threads on here say that saves battery which it really does. I know how to check what's using it but it never shows an App as the culprit. The majority of the time it's the Display that eats the largest % but I have it on a 15 second timeout and auto brightness so there's no way that's the only thing draining it.

Appreciate the suggestions but I know with the experts on here there has to be a more technical method to figure this out.

In most cases it is an app that drains the battery by constantly accessing data via either wifi or 3G. Nothing magical. Find your bad actor or do a fresh wipe/format and slowly add apps till you find bad actor. That is the easiest way. Or you could spend hours troubleshooting. Good luck
