[ROM][GINGERBREAD] CyanogenMOD 7 Nightly Builds.

Here you go - Everything you need to wipe and load.

Just make sure you use a file manager to move all your pictures, and files that are stored on the phone partition to the SD Card. When you wipe data, you will delete the contents of the data partition on the phone. The SD Card will be ok, so just make sure you back up any files you want first.

Titanium Backup is also a good way to do this.

Hope this helps.

So i fully wiped per instructions, flashed the Night full #6 and then from same recovery I flashed Gapps, then let it reboot. I then went back to recovery, cleared cache and Davlik then flashed incredikernel. Rebooted and then ran TiBackup to restore apps and system data. For some reason I started getting "android.media process" FC's over and over and could no longer download from Market at all.

I then restarted the phone and each time it stays in the blue android guy boot screen for Cyanogen Mod 7 endlessly no matter what I try. I repeated the full wipe process again and the other steps and just had the exact same problem and now am stuck with hanging boot screen no matter how long I wait or do battery pulls it still hangs at boot screen. Please help as I basically can't use my phone.

Don't restore System data from Titanium. Try wiping cache, dalvik and reload just the ROM and reboot. GAPPS should still be there and your restored apps should still be there.

Good Luck!

I did exactly as you said but stuck in continuous reboot after the I flashed ROM again. Should I start over with the full wipe process and do everything the same except system data(just restore my apps) with Titanium? If I restore the apps only won't I lose all my data related to the apps such as user dictionary for Smart Keyboard or custom settings for Handcent?

wkupike2000 -
i would restore a back up of something stable (like your stock sense rooted).
then i would load up the rom file (maybe download it again) on the sd card, do a full wipe, and try it again.
on titanium backup you can create a filter so that it doesnt show you System apps, which you dont want to restore.
things like smart keyboard or handcent aren't system apps.

I used ROM manager to update the newest nightly... I didn't check the box for GAPPS, because I never had to before... and yes i tried a reboot... Right now I restored back to 7. I am going to try and DL from the mirror site and save it to my SD..

Do you think I should use ROM manager and flash (and check the GAPPS box)? or should I manually install? and if so what order should I do it in?

I think I got it working?.... I used ROM manager and checked the box for GAPPS, BUT I did not check the box for full wipe. Now it seems as though I have successfully updated to #11 and there are no issues... for now :) thanks for the assistance though Zero Neck :)

I know where to find the gerrit codes but I don't understand them, What is the noticeable difference in #11 as opposed to #8???

FWIW - I never do the updates from within ROM manager, I use it to download them, but when you get to the Wipe cache and data screen I just hit cancel. Then reboot into recovery and manually wipe cache/dalvik and load the rom.

It seems that ROM manager sometimes does not play well on updates and in doing the actual flash.

Lol.... I should have my intermediate status revoked :) Im learning more everyday. Seems as though ROM Manager did pay nice this time... I am running #11 / flashed my kernel... Good to go. I will remember that next CM nightly...

question: i do wipe dalvik but what effects will wiping cache and data have? will I be missing something or have to update alot of stuff?

i would load the rom and gapps onto the sd card, do a full wipe, and then flash them from recovery, if you're having problems.

i havent flashed 11 yet, my sd card got corrupted this morning so i spent the hour i set aside for 11 backing up everything i need again. will probably try 11 tonight.

and i dont know anything about gerrit codes, but i think you can flash specific apps over again if you can find the rite file.. *i'm sure one of these guys around here can help you out with something like that, but it's not me. ;)

let us know what you think of 11

Wiping data will clear your apps, you don't need to do that for nightlies.

Wiping cache clears out temporary files that accumulate during runtime. Don't need old temps claging up the works.

I the full wipe process after the above didn't work. But this time I only restored User Apps from Titanium and it's running smoothly.

My one issue that remains is that the majority of my apps don't show in Market. How do I correct?

Yes, flashed GAPPS too. The phone is working great, Gmail, Gtalk, etc are all fine. I can download from Market just don't see all my apps in "My Apps"

Are you flashing from a different ROM or from nightly to nightly? If you are going from nightly to nightly, I would revert back to previous nightly-> and DO NOT wipe data when you flash to your new nightly. Wiping data will clear your apps, you don't need to do that for nightlies. Wiping cache clears out temporary files(not apps) that accumulate during runtime.

I went from a Virtous ROM to the nightly. Did full wipe so and have nothing to revert back to. I've full wiped 5 times in past 24 hours because I didn't realize restoring system data from Titanium would mess things up until I got help on here. This is first time that everything is running perfectly with no issues so I really don't want to go back through the whole process again. I've been without my phone way too much and it's time consuming.

I'm using Nightly #6. I thought I read somewhere about getting your apps to appear in the market but can't find it now.
