[ROM][GINGERBREAD] CyanogenMOD 7 Nightly Builds.

i just installed the nightly on mine and im on a mac too. when i first plugged my phone back in it didnt' automount like it did, but i went up to the notification bar and pulled down to the thing that said usb storage, clicked that and pushed yes i i think and once i did that it came right up on my desktop on my powerbook.

cool i'll see what happens when i connect it later

thanks

We got ANOTHER new Incredikernel added to the OP! This one seems like it should be pretty good update. He's tweaked HAVS and the wi-fi voltage so the battery life should be fantastic!

Dam !! I knew I should have brought the incredible today instead of da x . A kernel and a new update  ha! Its gunno be a long day :( I wont be able to sneak home and get it either.

LOL The DInc can be a fickle mistress!

Notification Power Widget change

Just flashed, I immediately noticed a nice (slight) change in the Notification Power Widget [Slightly larger icons] Location: CyanogenMod settings-> Interface -> Notification power widget (one of my fav abilities in CM)

Please Post any new changes you notice... good or bad (doubt they will be bad) :)

There should be something called Profiles in this build, not sure what it does, I'll try to play with it today. Also, some new Camera goodies should be there as well.

'Profiles ' - Setting is similar to setting up quiet hours on your phone. But it is more in depth and you can set different settings for different times when you are going to different places. Very similar to something in webOS. It can be a very handy Configuration tool, Glad they added this!

Stable?

#13 is up!

I'm still running RC 1 and I'm wondering how the stability of the nightlies are compared to RC 1. I have the random reboot once in awhile, but overall it's a good daily driver. Are there new features added that make the nightlies worth trying out or should I hold out for RC 2?

The nightlies have been very stable. There have been a bunch of new features since RC1 and if anything, the nightlies have been more stable than RC1. Plus, I think we're close to RC2 since there has been an unmerged RC2 submission in the Code Review for a day or so now.

As always, make a nandroid so if you have a problem you can flash back to the last version.

Happy Flashing!

I have had no problems with the nightlies, in fact, I know they are an improvement to the stock ROM. I am getting better battery, and zero freeze ups!

Like PVille said, just make a back up of your current ROM and if you don't like the nightlies u can just jump back.

Dont forget to remember your apps (which ever method you choose), cuz after you full wipe to your first nightly, they will be gone.... but when flashing from nightly to nightly, you don't need to do a full wipe. :) all is on OP, good luck

It looks like you can set phone behavior (notification light, vibrate and/or sound) for phone, email, gmail, sms, etc. Profiles are modified in the settings menu and activated in the "phone options" menu, accessible by a long hold on the power button.

On a related note, I love CM7.

NOTED: shortcut to the new 'profiles', by pressing the power button, its in the options to power off, reboot, etc...

I put the new incredikernel on with #12 last night and lost about 20 percent battery in ten minutes of phone idling - dunno why that happened so i went back to the slayher-cyanogen kernel.

That's strange. I just put the new kernel this morning on my phone with the new update for the new nightly. It's only been a few hours but I will report back at the end of the day on regards to how my battery life is going... Also I noticed a few comments back that this new kernel is designed to work especially around your wifi radio, Which could be good for me because I have my wifi set to sleep never.

Does anybody know of any kernels that can allow you to mess around specifically with the voltages As well as clock speed?...

Car Dock

Has anyone had any luck with the car dock setting? I have been able to turn it on with the icon, but I haven't noticed any effect other than the steering wheel in the notifications bar.

It would be awesome if we were able to configure it to answer all calls on speaker phone or disable screen off, for instance, but I don't see anywhere to tweak this.

The newest Incredikernel does, although it doesn't seem like the simplest thing to do.

Chad posted the instructions for it here.

I've seen the best method is to download the ROM from ROM Manager but then cancel out and install from SD card. Well where does the ROM you just downloaded, in my case nightly #13, get downloaded to? I've searched all over my phone & SD card but can't find it. Thanks.
