Are the bottom lights not supposed to be on all the time with this rom? Sometimes they are and other times they aren't. At first I thought maybe it was programmed that way to work with the light sensor.

And no, it's not a hardware problem. I just rooted yesterday and I have had zero problems with the software buttons lighting up before. Only with this rom. That is, if they're not supposed to be off.

I noticed this too. I think it's programmed that way the bottom lights light up when its dark. I like it and it saves battery.

Yeah, did some further testing and found that's the case. It's a cool touch.

You should be able to get into recovery by holding volume down and power.

I can and have and then what? After I get to the menu what do I do? Recovery in hboot is the same as clockwork mod recovery?


I noticed that when your loading gingeritis if you don't have a cell signal the phone will keep rebooting.

ok this rom has been working great up until yesterday i started getting a message saying the application talk(process.com.google.android.talk)has stopped unexpectedly. also my camera wont open now , i pulled battery and still same thing on both issues

Need some help here guys.

Yesterday I was getting the 'bug' where all my message threads would not resolve the contact information to their phone number.
So I went to reboot my phone, and now i get stuck in bootloop. HTC white screen, reboot, HTC white screen, etc.
I then went to clear the cache in the recovery, but i only get about 5 seconds into recovery before it reboots again.
So my next action was to do the unroot method, flashed stock MR1 RUU, same problem; flashed stock bootloader, same problem.

Now I'm here, hopefully someone has some sort of a solution because having no phone, especially no gingeritis3d, really sucks.

I'm not sure I follow what you are asking. Once you boot into recover, you can flash a zip from your sdcard. I'm assuming you already have clockwork mod installed.

If he's having the same problem as I am, after getting to the CWM recover there is about 5 seconds in recovery before the phone resets itself again.

Yes, but I am used to booting normally and then rebooting INTO clockwork mod. Is there a way to get into RECOVERY by HBOOT method and then just find the zip on the SD Card?

Turn phone off and from there hold volume down and power button til you get to hboot, then use the volume rocker to navigate to recovery and press the power button.

Yes... just hold down the Volume Down button, then while that is held down press and hold the Power button... after about 10 seconds, or when the hBoot screen comes on let go of the Power button, then the Volume down button... then you can select Recovery.

do any of you guys get the "end call bug" with this ROM? i flashed it and i was getting it constantly so i switched back to another ROM instantly.. i feel like there are mixed feelings about this, like some people get it and some dont... i wiped data, cache, and dalvik 2 TIMES each and formatted system before installing... and its a shame because i like this ROM, and the themes available for it...

I've gotten the end call bug once, even after flashing the "maybe" fix.

I've got two questions...how do you take screenshots in this and also, has anyone had any luck downloading the HTC widgets in this rom? I always get tap to try again.

Screenshots: Hold down the Power button, then push the Home button.

I have this stupid bug. It's been on all ginger roms I've tried since VI.

I flashed this rom a day or two ago. I might switch back to cm7 if I cant figure out how to stop the bug.
