No matter what I say Sloan will pick it apart... he doesn't like Wifi users... but I'll say this much, and only this much:... it's a normal days use... I open emails, reply if necessary, but usually just delete them... nothing special, except probably not playing any games and not browse just for the sake of browsing... just unlocking the phone when I'm notified of something and use my smartphone for a smartphone... my normal day.

No, I'm not trying to pick it apart at all...not my intentions. Was just pointing out there are drastic differences in battery life between wifi and being on 4G. I usually use wifi at work too to increase my battery life, it's not a bad thing.

Easily can get through a whole day on an extended battery... I have one, an no matter what rom I am using, i general don't worry... I say invest in getting one

After doing the camera fix, when I receive a text message from someone in my address book I just get their phone number instead of their name. Anyone else with that problem? Is there a fix?

I decided to give this rom another shot. It has the battery life advantage, I have noticed much improved life from this rom to BAMF (any). Very solid, although I have noticed a few bugs that I will post on the mikmik forums.

Noticed lately that the volume rocker turns the screen on now. Is there a setting or are things wonky? Pretty sure it was like the stock rom where you had to press the power button to turn screen on only

Its normal. Cm7 has an option to turn it off, I haven't found a way to turn it off in this rom, if that's your question

Ah, thanks. I could have sworn it wasn't like that when I first installed but I guess I never payed attention until recently. Kinda annoying.

i can tell you how to disable it.
it requires Root Explorer

using root explorer:
navigate to "/system/usr/keylayout, enable Read/Write option.
long press "mecha-keypad.kl" to open in Text Editor>>>remove the word "WAKE"from "key 114 VOLUME_UP" and "key 115 VOLUME_DOWN". only remove the word "WAKE", nothing else.
press Menu, "save & exit". a backup file will be created for the original.

then

long press "mecha-keypad-v0.kl" to open in Text Editor>>remove the word "WAKE" from key 114 & key 115. press menu, save & exit. a backup file will be created for the original.

changes will take effect after restarting the phone

i just did this myself & on the past 3 ROMs that had this problem. it works.
no need to flash a zip file to fix this--just takes a few seconds of editing.

I'm having the exact same problem on my wifes phone and have no idea how to fix it.

OK, so I tried this, and for me only lasted a day.

• camera/talk issue - i found how to fix, and tried, but really?
• restart caused all app icons to lose the icon graphics

Just too rough around the edges. Most everything else looked nice. Been running BAMF forever since, and I really like that.
