First I've heard of it. Seems to work fine with my earplugs. Have you tried a different set of headphones to test out?

This looks to be a great ROM. Just out of curiosity, how does one go about creating one? I see a couple of tutorials online, but nothing specific about the optimus s. Could I use the same process that you would follow for other devices or are there certain steps that need to be followed?

Ive noyiced this on cm7. If you goto my apps and scroll to thee bottom youll see some apps listed under not installed and you can update from there.

this might be a wierd request, but is there anyway that I could get someone to remap the search button, so that it is a power button? I used to use button remapper, but seems it just FC's on this rom.

Awesome job!!

Glad to hear its good for you. The market issue you describe is a more or less an issue with market. I cant fix market :( Try clearing market data and then go back into it. Maybe that will help? But Market is a horrid application. So much effort was put into the OS but 10 minutes of coding went into the Market app.

This ROM is not causing the 3.5MM issue you see. I only use this phone as a podcast player and I use it every night for that. Works as intended.

If you want to learn how to dev ROMS start a new thread. Expect to get flamed like I did when I asked questions but I wont flame you. I will help you. Just not in my thread. Also on my website I have a forum dedicated to helping people learn how to build there own ROMS. Newbs come in and can ask me any question they want without fear of being flamed.

Nick's force roaming application works with gROM.

Re: [ROM] gROM 1.1 - 9/16/11 - GB 2.3.3 - Stuff just got real!

Looks like the launcher is still the Froyo launcher in this ROM. Or do my eyes / memory deceive me?

Re: [ROM] gROM 1.1 - 9/16/11 - GB 2.3.3 - Stuff just got real!

I'm only 30 minutes in to using this ROM but the performance is seemingly off the charts. I like it a lot!

Ahahahah! You caught my only "bug" Your eyes are deceiving you though... And it not really a bug! Let me explain...

What I did was replace the sprint launcher with the Gingrebread launcher. BUT... The gingerbread launcher I used came from sROM (my other rom on here) and it was THEMED to look like Froyo. I forgot to theme it back with the proper highlights. If its an issue I can make a fix for it asap otherwise, I will revert the proper colors on the next revision.

Ya know, I just realized that last night too! ahahah Good catch man!

Thank you! Glad you are enjoying my handy work!

You are right. the original sprint Rom does the same thing.

podcast/music works, it just doesn't work on calls.

The "thanks" go to you and your fellow devs for making this little phone great.

Hmmm. Now I didint try phone calls but... If the sprint ROM does the same thing then that would lead me to a few conclusions...

Sprint effed this up... Or.... your jack is partially busted.... or... your headset itself is partially busted. Do you have another phone or another headset to test with? Unfortunately I dont have a wired headset to play with or I would test it out too. I might try to grab a cheapo one at walmart... But right now I dont have one.

But yeah, try swapping anything you can and we will go off those results.

Hehehe... Did you check out the themes by jstntp that were made and are still being made? They are pretty tight! He did an AWESOME job with the theme he has so far. I was really impressed with his graphics!

Re: [ROM] gROM 1.1 - 9/16/11 - GB 2.3.3 - Stuff just got real!

When I try to change my Go SMS alerts it FCs on me, I also tried to change notifications through the settings menu and I can't access them, the phone freezes.
the Market also won't load, it just sits a a grey screen.

Is anyone else having these issues?

I cant say that I have seen the settings issue you are describing.

But the market issue is a known issue with Market. Does it on all my android phones after a fresh install. Its quit annoying. Just back out using the back button all the way to the home screen and then start it back up. That USUALLY fixes the issue. But market has to be one of the most terribly coded apps in the history of Android (mal-ware aside). I may consider going back to the stock Market because it has less issues. Lets see if others will share there experience.
