I did and it worked just as well as it did on all other builds

BUT

I re-flashed and stayed with the built in kernel and everything is great so far (storage, backlights, haptic, etc)

DK fixed the storage force close issue with this build 4

Ohh goodie! I that case I think I must flash.

DK I just wanted to give you a HUGE THANK YOU!

Finally finally finally!! We have a kernel that works about 100%.. ugh it feels so good to have haptic work like it should and the peace of mind knowing that your phone is functioning like it should!

Thanks so much

I really cant think of anything that is wrong with the rom.. not even a tiny ity bity detail.. everything seems perfect

Thats what I like to here. :)

Which kernel is everyone using? FF18 Repacked by Dark Knight for AOKP or Times_Infinity's Source AOKP Kernel? Just curious if anyone is seeing better stability from one or the other.

What's different in your kernel DK2 vs the shabby penguin you included in the rom?

Shabbys is based on Chris41g's kernel source. Mine is just a tweaked out stock kernel repacked to work with AOKP only.

I use the one built into stable 4. the FF18 repack broke my wifi and the infinity one gave me storage issues where it couldn't find all my music files.

Id stick with the stock kernel in s4. It's literally the only kernel I can find where everything just works.. even the small tiny detail stuff like the auto brightness filtering, hatpic, etc.

S4 kernel is times_infinity`s kernel. Just an FYI

as DK said it's in the OP

but as I say, PLEASE DO!! lol fh13 modem is awesome and even awesomeer on this rom.

no LOS's and my speeds have increased.

+1 great modem. I get Los no matter what modem or rom I'm on but speeds are much improved.

Has anyone tested control 12 with S4

Just installed S4 and am loving it so far. No issues that I can see and the fh13 modem is great with the rom. Speeds have increased and signal strength is minimally increased. I'll post back once I have a full charge and report on battery life.

How's battery life on this bad boy?

I just picket up an E4GT from a friend today and he said that stock ICS leaves much to be desired in the battery dept as far as he's concerned.

Also, is it easy to return to unrooted stock on this phone if necessary? I'm coming from a phone that was a pain to root and a pain to return to stock.

Battery life is better than with a stock rom but the epic touch has a small battery to begin with so don't expect much in the way of long battery life.

As for returning to stock.. it seriously couldn't be easier. rooting is just as easy too. My last phone was an htc evo 4g and this 100% easier to root and return to stock.

Battery life on any AOSP based rom has been amazing for me, and this is no different. I've tried flashing many many ROM's and nothing even comes close to this. Do yourself a favor and flashy mcflasherson this ASAP!

Sounds good. Alright, I just saw a disclaimer about an EMMC bug. Where is there something for me to read to know how to avoid this and do you have a suggestion as far as a root/flash tutorial for the E4GT?
