[ROM][JB][WIP] CyanogenMod 10 for LG-P505/506

Is there an update for the phoenix? Im gonna test the 506 version on my phone and see how it works. Thanx for your hard work man.

We're waiting for a fix from the CM team. They broke some code last night. If it's not fixed by 8 PM Eastern Standard Time, I'll fix it myself....

The P506 build will boot on the P505 but you won't get any cell signal because the P506 build uses the old baseband which won't work on the P505

gotcha. i just flashed it and yeah, no signal. its all good. no big rush. was just curious

Yeah it doesn't look like CM team is gonna fix the issues themselves tonight so I'm on it ATM
Also, the new Google Apps .zip fixes Google Now. Now I need to test the Voice on it ;)

I also should be able to fix Catapult enough to ready it for a release across all our builds tonight. ATM it's pretty much a stable Trebuchet for Jelly Bean though :p

What's not working on the lastest update for the thrive?...I want to install it but I need to know some opinions like the battery drain usin the 3G

The 7/24 build is your best bet. I'm working on fixing the new errors in the latest CM code and I should have a build out for the Thrive in 5 or 6 hours.

The battery is REALLY drained for me and I don't even use 3G because I don't have a data plan. I have to charge it every few hours. So with data you're probably not gonna get much.....

If you're not a big telephone talker, I've figured out how to be pleased with AT&T's pre-paid services for $50 month. I'm on the $25 monthly package - 250 minutes plus unlimited text, this does include MMS. For data, I use Wifi whenever possible but I also by a $25 data package which gives me 1 GB to play with when I don't have wifi access. This system works great for me. Another tip, if you reup your data package before it expires, whatever amount of data that was remaining on the previous package will roll over and be added to the new package. :D

what could be a fix for the battery drain? maybe later, or always going to be of that way

I like it :) But I'm 15 and I don't really chose or pay for my plan so I have to stick with mine for a few more years. But I'm not complaining :D

Search the Play Store for "Battery Calibration. It's a Green CyanogenMod logo with a percentage sign on it. It works wonders ;) But it can be tweaked in the code to use less battery. CM team should so it soon, but it's not really a priority if you know what I mean ;)

@Rashed
I had no idea you were so young. I'm impressed with the fact that you're spending your summer break coding instead of being a typical teenager. But... you're only a kid once and for a very short period of your life. Enjoy it while you can. ;)

And thanks for all your hard work!

:D All my friends are overseas so this is my backup :P
But this is very fun to me really :)
I'll have a stable Catapult.apk in the next 30 min if anyone wants to try it :P

A lot of people that get into this are younger. :p

Well I for one am impressed. I'm glad to see you young developers here instead of out there doing god knows what. I wish I'd continued my education. Tho I've been programming longer than most of you have been alive, I'm just a novice. I'm stuck working in the building trades to pay my bills. Keep it up :) You surely don't want to follow in my footsteps.

OK Here it is!
The first release of Catapult!!!

Just flash this normally ;)
I need bug reports! And suggestions :p
And if your phone enters a boot loop tell me that too :p

I build this for the P506 but it should work on any device
Specifically P500, P505, P509, etc

EDIT: Yeah it boot loops here... I don't like that. I'm gonna keep trying to install to system but I may not as my PC is off. It won't work by just side loading I've tested that :p

I installed 7/24 build and I have no sound. No ringtone or notification. Volume is cranked. Sure this is a CM bug tho. Reverting back to Piccolo for now.

Not to be a bother. but i have lg p505

i have the issues with the mobile network connecting under the rogers network with your os, however it seems to work perfect with the CM9-P500-PASQUALE-KANG(21/03/2012) with a kernel to fix the color issues. The difference is that your system drains powers, yet is fluent in screen transitions and wifi speeds. Camera works for Pal however the display of the camera doesn't work and the wifi is crap in kang, they have mobile network that works flawlessly and there gallery doesn't work.

Here i am looking at a jigsaw puzzle a few mods here and there and you could have the all time greatest os for p505 users.

here a link for you guys to look at:
[Unofficial][ICS 4.0.4]CyanogenMod 9[LGP500] - xda-developers

If your not interested at least can you fix the mobile.com.browser issue that keeps crashing?! i love this os but it useless if i can't make phone calls or use my network.

You may wanna try Piccolo which is an ICS rom or there is an unofficial cm9 for the P505/P506 located on this forum as well. Cheers.
