Re: [ROM] Opti-ROM

How is battery life?

Im on my 7th day without touching a charger.lol j/k I don't even have a optimus anymore. It's a optimus tho so battery is going to be hard to judge after just about 24hrs. It also depends on everyone's set up if your running stock speeds i don't see why a day or more wouldn't be that hard to get.

Or you could do what BZOptimus did and fuse 3 batteries together to get 4 days of battery life lol.

Re: [ROM] Opti-ROM

I did do a factory reset am i not supposed to

Did you do the factory reset from the settings menu under Privacy while the phone was running or did you do it from recovery menu?
The first will require you looking to flash from a semi-brick. The second shouldn't cause any issues and I'm assuming this is NOT what you did because you shouldn't have any issues after doing that...

Yeah, you should be fine... Don't ever factory reset from the Privacy menu in Android... I was worried that you might have done that. I don't see why you would have any trouble flashing the ROM.

Me neither it not. The only thing i can think tf is the kernal it just dont like it for some reason

Re: [ROM] Opti-ROM

so is there something i need to do to get everything to go to my sdcard or are you saying that everything is already set up and we just have to flash the rom?

Patience guys. You will be enjoying this feature soon enough. ;)
EDIT: Decided to do dalvik to cache. No longer dalvik to sd (to improve on speed and reliability)

Re: [ROM] Opti-ROM

so far this rom has given me no issues. i havn't really had a chance to use the crap out of it but being in my pocket all day while riding around in the rain, it barely drained the battery. how hard would it be for you to port the cm7 camera app instead of this pos?

Re: [ROM] Opti-ROM

Re flashed twice and still have apps not showing up in app drawer. Can access them via my apps within market

Ok in researching and experimenting trying.to.figure out why i cant get this rom to install for me i came accross something interesting. I have grom on my phone right now and someone had mentioned on that thread if you want oc to use generkernal so my question is does opti use generkernal cuz when i installed the kernal with grom it froze at the lg screen like opti did. And if so why would the kernal freeze the phone and how do.you get around it.
