Re: [ROM] Opti-ROM

The attached zip is the stock kernel only,it can be flashed after flashing the rom to replace Drew's kernel with the stock kernel. Ill post the boot.img zip in a few almost done with it.

Thanks drew i used your zip ;)

P.S. neither of the zips are signed so if you get a error toggle sig check in recovery.

Will update first post with these (if it hasn't been done already) if I ever get the time. Been very busy all of a sudden...

if you had the same problem i did where you werent able to get opti rom to start with the original instructions... then i think you should try what i did ... instead of using the stock kernal im still able to use drews :DD but here are the steps i did....

-made nandorid
-cleared (everything)
-flashed debug
-flashed rom
-then flashed boot img

it will hang and boot loop once and then it should fully start up... do the setup and then restart your phone after the set up.. i notcied if i didnt do that then it would continually boot loop again. i am now able to run this rom though :D

Re: [ROM] Opti-ROM

I had 110mb worth of space after a fresh install. I restored all my apps and still had about 65mb. But after trying 4 different themes, I'm below 25mb remaining. How can I fix this?

I made sure to wipe the cache and davlik cache when I swapped themes.

I'm not sure what is eating your space, but it is not the themes. Themes only replace system and sometimes app files, they do not add anything extra.

Re: [ROM] Opti-ROM

So, on a completely clean install, I've noticed that if I install something larger from the market place, and search for something else... while using WIFI, my internet connection spazzes out and at least in one case, the phone rebooted...

well, something happened anyway, but it never really came back until I pulled the battery and then started it another time afterwards...

Not sure what to make of that... might have been the result of some of my other adventures today...

Just not sure... leaving wifi off for now.

Re: [ROM] Opti-ROM

Another update...
[INFO]dalvik-cache to (unused) cache partition automatically[/INFO]

This can be used in addition to apps2sd. There will be instructions on how to do this!
End updates
