I have installed 2.8 voodoo 2x now and I have yet to hear the robot chick. I made sure my disable lagfix file was gone too. Am I missing something? I tried to enable lagfix in red cwm too.

when i ran the cwm all through odin it went to red right away like its supposed too, but when i went back into cwm again to test it one more time it went to blue first then and when i pressed apply from sd card and went to orange?

can anyone tell me how to get red back? thank you

If I remember correctly someone who knows about voodoo said you will only hear the lady robot voice the first time you boot to voodoo. Since you are going from one version of voodoo to another, I would guess that would not be your first time so you will not hear the voice.

Yes, when you are running nonvoodoo and you flash a new ROM, you will lose the new red cwm. You will have to flash the cwm-recovery-all in ODIN again to bring back the new cwm red: http://db.tt/6dZUc7d

okay that makes sense, and since i already downloaded the cwm recovery all i can just keep running that one over and over through odin whenever i need red cwm?

Having Issues

I had Superclean 2.4 with voodoo but chose to start fresh so I did a factory reset to DL09. After that I used CWM red to flash Superclean 2.8 and everything appeared to go smoothly so I hit the menu button to go back and reboot. After hitting the power button to reboot my phone boots into CWM Red instead of booting up the phone....did I do something wrong? Is there an easy fix?

Yes, since you still have a copy of cwm recovery all, anytime you lose it, you will have to flash it in ODIN.

Yes but I had voodoo awhile back and removed it. Before tonight, I was on a non-voodoo file system. When I loaded 2.8, I loaded the voodoo rom so I expected a conversion to take place.

I have tried to disable and re-enable to no avail. I guess I will load the voodoo kernel by itself and see what happens.

ok so i can flash 2.8 with odin just like for 2.6? just double checking so i dont brick my phone..lol..Thanks!

Had the same situation, but started with DL01.

Had to flash 2.6 with voodoo first to stop it from booting back into red. I then enabled lag fix, heard the lady voice, and booted into 2.6 for a quick check.

I rebooted back into red recovery. From there I did a wipe cache and wipe dalvik and updated to 2.8 without issue. Everything was running good with Voodoo on board.

I then decided to ODEN the EB01 radio.

After you flashed back to DL09 you needed to flash the EB01 modem through odin. If you didn't you are still running a DL09 modem. You can get the EB01 modem here:

Also I'm thinking possibly you were supposed to disable lag fix before you flashed back to DL09

Did you use one of DroidXcon's all-in-one ODIN packages to get 2.6? If so, yes you can use the same method to go to 2.8

Yes i did. when i extract the files from Adrynalyne's download link it gives me 3 different folders 1)kernal_update 2)META-INF 3)system i'm not finding the .tar or .tar.md5. what am i doing wrong?

I originally came to these forums looking for answers to the ever popular "Where is Froyo?" Found it readily available loaded stock version on my wife's and my phone, and was finally happy to have 2.2, but then I kept reading. With a lot of advice both direct and indirect, started to become curious of what all this superclean is about. Decided to jump in and find out after running sc2.6 for a few days, got home from work tonight to a pleasant surprise of sc2.8. Just finished loading it on both phones, and the wife is looking for a new theme she is already tired of the one she has. LOL Everyone on here is so helpful it unreal, even if your a complete idiot to all of this (me new to it but very tech inclined). At one point, Droidxcon suggested loading sc2.6 to fix the ability to shut off gps on the camera, I was reluctant due to not knowing what all was taken out. I miss nothing, my wife misses the timer. lol Go figure right, but just wanted to finish with saying first off Thank you Adrynalyne for all of the builds and making them available to us, Thank you Droidxcon for laying things out to make them easy for us new ones, and Thank you Landshark for directing me to the beginners forum it helped a lot.
Only question/issue we have with 2.8 is the video player, it stumbles when playing, we have a 4 year old portable video is very important. lol Is there a way to flash the vid player from 2.6 to this version? It played flawlessly.
Thank you all again.

2.8 needs the video Samsung app back

The Samsung video player has a hold feature built into the power button. Press once and the screen locks. This is vital as I watch videos while on the bus. Please do not make me have to go back to 2.4. Please provide the video player as add in via Clockwork.

Coming from SC 2.6nv LP+ no theme

Did wipe/reset
Wipe Dalvik/cache
(2x)
Installed 2.8nv via CWM
Wiped Cache/Dalvik
Booted
Restored apps via Titanium
Booted again to get LP+ again.

Now my phone will not connect to my Wifi. I disabled security in my router and turned on Broadcast and the phone will not connect.
Baseband is EB01

Wifi sees the network but it just keeps connecting and disconnecting.
Text messages and phone works

Ideas?

Update: Flashing EB01 Modem via Odin did not fix the issue.

You are in the wrong thread for that. The files you extract are in this thread:
http://forum.androidcentral.com/ver...ged-roms-w-root-clockwork-updated-3-04-a.html
If you want to use the 2.8 file in this thread, you save it to your sd card and flash it through clockwork mod recovery (cwm)
