Status
Not open for further replies.
Coming from SC 2.6nv LP+ no theme

Did wipe/reset
Wipe Dalvik/cache
(2x)
Installed 2.8nv via CWM
Wiped Cache/Dalvik
Booted
Restored apps via Titanium
Booted again to get LP+ again.

Now my phone will not connect to my Wifi. I disabled security in my router and turned on Broadcast and the phone will not connect.
Baseband is EB01

Wifi sees the network but it just keeps connecting and disconnecting.
Text messages and phone works

Ideas?

Reboot your router.

For those who want or need them, these have been added to the first post:

You are awesome sir. Any idea as to why everyone on non voodoo is having such a problem restoring nandroid backups? (myself included)
I am also having an issue with launcherpro not allowing me to choose the 3D app drawer? I did some searching on the LP site and saw people were having that issue with 2.3, but we are at 2.2 here.

I ended up not being able to flash 2.8 through ROM Manager b/c of CWM Orange. I followed above ( d/l'd and flashed CWM-All through ODIN ) and got it into CWM Red but it said Voodoo. I was running Non-Voodoo and installed the Non-Voodoo 2.8. I don't have VooDoo now do I?

Not sure, re: voodoo. Could be kernel related, but it works ok for me, so its tough to troubleshoot.

Nope, just a voodoo recovery which is perfectly fine.

Sorry Adrynalyne, but since you are in the answering questions mode. If I made a nandroid backup using the older red cwm froyo 2.5.1.x with the bitmap error messages on the bottom, do I need to use the same cwm to do the restore, or can I do the restore using the new red cwm all 2.5.1.x without the bitmap error messages?

Theoretically speaking, it should restore fine with any 2.5.x version that supports voodoo. Emphasis on theoretically ;)

Update: Flashing EB01 Modem via Odin did not fix the issue.

Update 2: Flashing the EB16 Kernel did not help either.

Strange... same thing happened to me when I reflashed 2.7 to get rid of a theme I was trying. Didn't happen the first time but it did the second time. LP+ went back to stock, forgot that I had bought plus version and wouldn't let any of my customizations stick; It was really strange. Did you wipe cache? For some reason I did when I reflashed over the theme and not when I originally loaded 2.7... did you happen to wipe anything before going to 2.8?

Edit: 2.8 works fine with my LP+

No problems for me with LP+ and 2.8

Reboot your router.

Router rebooted. (30 second power disconnect)

Still doing the connecting disconnecting dance, with a constant scanning. It sees the network just fine but will not connect. The quick panel icon is lit up but there is no wifi icon in the notification bar.

This was reported by someone else about 2 pages above me but gave no detail and has not followed up.

My router is wide open with no security and SSID broadcasting is on. I've tried a re-adding the network to my phone manually with no luck.

I'm installing a wifi scanner app and I'll see if I can find an open network to try to attach to so isolate the problem. But nothing changed on my router or network.

Might be a a little while before I find one. I'm going to have to cruise the neighborhood to find one.
