[ROM]Superclean 2.8!! *UPDATED*

When I installed 2.1 the Market app tried to download pretty much every app I've downloaded in the last few months. When I wiped and installed 2.2 it tried to do it again. Does anyone know what is causing this? I went through and cancelled them but then it told me that they were partially installed.

I really only use a few apps and don't feel like loading and unloading them as I know I will be doing a lot of ROM flashing in the coming weeks. Thanks!

That is a new feature of Froyo. If you don't want your apps to automatically restore go menu=>settings=>privacy and uncheck automatic restore

The patch to enable screen capturing (via back and lock button) doesn't seem to be working. I tried to install it both through CWM and Root Explorer, neither worked... Am I missing something?

Thats the rom, not the theme.

Yea i know that, i posted i got the theme working before you posted that, must have been at the same time. Not using ROM manager fixed that. i just need to flash the modem someone pointed out. thanks for help

I had to wipe as I had issues with DL30 as well. After the wipe, everything seems to be good. Still hoping my battery gets better though. I am running the voodoo kernel at this point. I have noticed in areas of low signal, my phone gets warm.

I might switch back to non-voodoo if the battery keeps draining. I can't wait until the kernel source gets released and some new kernels come out.

I will say wiping on 2.2 is so much easier. It restores apps so much better than 2.1 :)

Thanks

i had bad battery with non voodoo 2.2 i switched to voodoo just for the sake of doing it. i love the new transitions! and i chose the voodoo so i could have custom boot animations in this version

Could run the voodoo kernel and disable the lagfix. Not sure if this would be the same as the Non-Voodoo rom or not ;)

You recommend getting rid of RM eh? I notice most experienced folks don't like or have no need for it...OK im getting more experienced so bye bye RM lol

I have read where other people have said this and I agree - the only thing rom manager is really good for is it allows you to name your nandroid backups so you're not just looking at a bunch of dates.

Ok, getting an issue. running 2.2 nonVoodoo. I keep freezing. I cleaned all cache, still froze. So I refreshed and cleaned user data in CWM, and re-installed 2.2, still freezing. I am running all the same apps I was running on 2.1 with no problems.

Can anyone help? Do I need to go back to EB01 then up to 2.2?

Not that anyone will see this in this monster 900 post thread, but I wanted to point out that some of the ringtones appear to be corrupted in this rom (at least, 2.0 and 2.1, havent tried 2.2 yet). They have a scratchy noise at the start of the audio, and then they play fine after that. "Ringing to you" and "Piquant pop" are two examples. This wasn't present in the 1.0 version of the froyo superclean, so im not sure where things went off the tracks.

i use my own ring tones so i havent noticed. just pull the ring tones from the good builds and drop then in you phone.

Has anyone had the problem of the Sync icon getting stuck in the notification bar? It popped up yesterday and is still there and as far as I can tell its not actually syncing anything and I can't figure out how to make it go away. It's annoying. Even if I turn everything off and put it in airplane mode it's still there.

Edit: Nevermind I got it figured out. It was a problem with Touchdown. Had to uninstall and reinstall it.

Yeah, probably constant copy and pasting, and zipping and unzipping...I'll try to fix that up in 2.3 when its ready.

Hey Adrynalyne... Awesome work!

Any chance in getting the music player to be a widget on the lock screen?

I knew there had to be a 2.3 coming. The man just will not rest. Samsung and Verizon should just hire you as an independent contractor, send you the new builds straight from Google. With the magic you work we would probably already be on ice cream :D

Thanks for everything Adrynalyne!

I have read through some (not all) and can't find an answer. I am running superclean 2.2. I am using the stock launcher included in this package. Everything looks great. On to my question. Is there anyway to add/remove pages from the home screens? Is there anyway to change the order of the launcher pages? And finally, is there anyway to change the actual homepage? (the screen that the phone goesto when the home button is pushed). I know on the Touchwiz launcher, you could reorder/change/add/delete the home page, just wondering if this is possible on the launcher on superclean 2.2? Thanks, and sorry if this has been asked previously.
