Thats not what I asked...what did you update over, that you are no longer booting?

I went from sc 2.6 -> sc 2.7 patch -> and then the sc 2.7.1 and after I rebooted it just froze at the Samsung part......does this answer your question? Sorry if it doesn't.

Did you enable lagfix, because if not, then after setup is done, boot back into RED CW>voodoo>enable lagfix then menu button>reboot. Should hear lady android.

I got the 2.7 patch for 2.6 users that was updated earlier. Do i need to update to 2.7.1 or am i good to go? any differences? am i at risk?

I had 2.6 and then applied the 2.7.1 and was stuck at Samsung screen. Would not go past it. Started from scratch and same thing happened.

I am a noob with all of this so not sure if this is the correct steps or not. I know I get 2.6 superclean up and running fine, go to recovery, apply 2.7.1, reboot and stuck at Samsung screen.

I'm using the 2.7 that was updated today. The all zip one.

i think he meant what version of SC (2.5, 2.6, 2.6 +7.1 patch) are you coming from or are you coming from stock EB01

I am going to ODIN back in time to Full Stock Froyo Leak+root+Froyo Clockworkmod EB01_DXC.tar and then try the 2.7_all ROM and see if that helps.

If that doesn't work then I am going to go back to 2.1 stock and try it from there.

If that doesn't work I am going to stomp this phone into the ground.

prior to trying to flash 2.7.1_all

You will only hear the lady's voice the FIRST reboot AFTER enabling lagfix.

try flashing this:[RECOVERY] Updated ClockworkMod for ALL ROMs - xda-developers
right after you odin, the cwm that comes with that package is what I think is causing your problems

I did exactly as you stated and I have never heard the female voice....is there a test that I can do to check that it is enabled?

doesnt use a update.zip to get into cwm

delete the update.zip from your SD card and re-download the odin file from the link above and try it again.

For the folks who are not booting...are you updating over 2.7 (the rom which was pulled)?

No, I never installed 2.7. I installed eb01 stock last night, then installed 1.7.1 after wiping everything just now.

I just installed 2.7.1 with Eb16 voodoo kernel over 2.7 voodoo from yesterday and it works fine for me. I'm using cwr 2.5.1 red still and have had no issues with any of the last 2 rom versions.

What do you need for beta testers? i can switch over to my continuum and test on my fascinate
