I've used Barnacle WiFi tether from the market a couple times, literally only twice, when I really needed my laptop and haven't incurred any extra charges from verizon. It works pretty good too.

I havent had any battery issues, i usually unplugg at 0520 and I'm good ALL day till at least 9pm. and thats with good moderate usage.

Yea same here flashed the Midnight/Bluesteel theme and im loving the phone even more. No issues on the battery as im always traveling by car so i do have the phone plugged in.

First post but I've been lurking for a while now...

First off- Adr, you are the man thank you for all your hard work.
Second- I'm running 2.7.1 voodoo on red CWM after going from 2.3 to 2.6 and I've had no problems at all. After playing around with it all day I haven't noticed any issues with the build. If anything the build is better than 2.6. And for anyone worried about messing up their phone: let me send you my Blackberry Storm 2 to practice on, after bricking that a few times everything else is cake.

Had a random lock up on my device tonight running 2.6 with the JT voodoo kernel for eb16 and now I have no Data service via Cell Modem.

*228 isn't reactivating my phone either.

please try the following,

1. pull down notification bar and make sure data is activated
2. pull out your battery for 5 to 10 minutes pop it back in
3. give me your baseband info
settings>about phone > baseband

i'm using the original samsung clock with S.C. which was left behind somehow, and my alarms won't go off unless I go into the clock and either turn them off then back on again or slightly change the time they are supposed to go off. What could be causing this?

clear cache on the desk clock app. if that doesnt work delete the desk clock app and get desk clock from the market and install that.

Everything is working well but I still haven't tried using the PIN lock again. I previously had the digiclock widget and did not install it this time in case (like a few posts I found during a search that were kind of similar) it was causing a problem somehow with the PIN lock feature. Still, I'm not going to try the PIN lock again until I know more about it because the only way to get past it when it won't take my password is to clear and reset the phone and then run the 2.7 installation again. Has anyone else had an issue with the PIN lock?

I have the 2.7 running and have a PIN set to secure my phone. Yesterday when I was attempting to install the 2.7 from 2.6 I had a problem getting the phone to accept my password. After getting 2.7 installed and running this morning I turn on my phone (after having it turned off and charging overnight) to discover that it again is not accepting the PIN. I know the PIN is correct so it seems like there's a bug somewhere. Anyone have an idea how to get past this? Is there a "default" password it might have reverted to? If I can get into the phone I'll turn off the PIN lock...

Exchange Server E-mail not working with Security Requirements

I am not sure if this has been posted in this thread or if Adrynalyn is aware of it so I am posting it here:

Problem:

Unable to get e-mail from Exchange Server account that has security policies enabled

Behavior

Able to setup Exchange Server without any errors. Going to mail you see "Refresh", click it, it changes to "Loading Messages" then after a while goes back to "Refresh". No mail is received and there are no errors.

Phone Setup

1. Went back to Stock wiping phone and getting OTA EA28
   
2. Used DroidxCons EB16SC26_DXC.tar with Odin
   
3. Booted phone then shut down into CWM Blue
   
4. Flashed CWM Red
   
5. Booted phone setup Exchange Server

Hardware Version I500.04

Model Number SCH-I500

Firmware Version 2.2.1

Kernel Version 2.6.32.9

Build Number SCH-I500.EB01

Policies

My company requires the phone to have a Security Pin enabled that is numerical. I noticed that with SC 2.X I have an option for Alphabetical or Numerical. I choose Numerical. Not sure if this "new" option is an issue.

If you need the list of Policies please let me know if there is a way to get them off of my phone.

Please let me know if there is any other information I can provide.

I followed the directions to go back to 2.6 after I was on 2.7 and now this. Help

I just rewiped my phone and installed 2.7.1nv along with the eb16 nv and so far so good

Phone FC problem with SuperClean

I've got a Fascinate that I've rooted, flashed Super Clean 2.5 EB01 with voodoo. It was working fine until I upgraded CWM. I finally got all that straightened out and reflashed Super Clean. Now immediately after every call I get the message "The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly" I hit Force close and it's fine until the next call. What's weird is I started with SC 2.6 then flashed 2.5 to try to get rid of it, which it did for about 2 hours, then it started again. What do I need to do?

it has a fix for the wifi hot spot.

So if I'm running the original SC 2.7nv (not 2.7.1) can I just flash the EB16nv file in the OP and still have SC 2.7nv? Sorry for the noob question but everything is working great for me except the hot spot and I don't want to create myself an headaches.

Correct, the file from the op is just the kernel and will also work with 2.7. But I think the original 2.7 already comes with that kernel.

Mms problem with sc 2.7.1

I have been runnin 2.7.1 w no problems at all except for 1... When I recieve a pic msg it is "downloading" forever n I never get 2 c the pic... I kno u could call 2.7.1 an alpha build but it makes me feel special lol so if there is a fix for this that would be cool.. Not sure if its a deal breaker 2 go back to 2.6 tho..
