[ROM] Warm Z TwoPointTwo [RLS1][2/23/2011] Re-Engineered Nightlies [3/12/11]

I went from Myn's 2.2 to CM7 and now wanted to go back to Myn's because I like some of it's features more than CM7. However, I cannot get any of the newer ROMs to install on my phone. They all aborted because of the 3.0.0.7 rom manager update.

What can I do?

open rom manager and go all the way to the bottom.. open that then choose the version of rom manager you want to update to... I would use 3.0.0.5... let me know if this helps :)

Go in Rom manager, scroll to the bottom where it says all clockwork recoveries, and choose an older version. If that doesn't work out u can download an earlier version.and flash it, there's a thread for that floating around here if u search.
GL!

Still says - Amend scripting (update-script) is no longer supported.
- Amend scripting was deprecated by Google in Android 1.5.
- It was necessary to remove it when upgrading to ClockworkMod 3.0 Gingerbread based recovery.
- Please switch to Edify scripting (update-script and update-binary) to create working update zip packages.

No clue what this stuff means haha.

@ssethv ya actually i got the incredible the first time from my friend who upgraded, but he had lost his droid inc and got a new one through his insurance policy, and now five months later he found that first one and so i've got it to mess with now.
thunderbolt is pretty cool. had to root it in terminal with adb, that was sort of neat. at least with the incredible now i can get my cyanogen fix back!

and yo talking about frankenstein, did you ssee the xoom car mounts that were on the front page that somebody made???

Great looking rom and will be very promising after all the bugs are worked out... can count me coming back.

Dinc WarmZ

Ok I'm coming over from CM7 and I really want to try this ROM out, but I keep getting stuck at the white HTC boot up screen. I'm using CWM3.0.0.8, downloaded the second file for CWM3x and have wiped data/dalvik/cache 3 times now and I keep getting stuck at this screen. :( Any help would be much appreciated! :)

I haven't flashed warmz since 2 months ago, but i think i used 3.0.0.5 clockwork to do it, so maybe you should try downgrading cwm, and then wiping cache dalvik and data, and then flashing the rom.

edit
i would actually go back to cm7, downgrade cwm to 3.0.0.5, make a new backup of cm7, and then boot in recovery, wipe those things as usual, and flash warmz rom.. this way you're backups are operating on the same version of cwm.

@Zero I'm going to try your edit & see if I can't get that to work. Do you like this ROM just as much as every one else seems to?

ya see if that works.
I liked the rom but i only used it for a few days. I prefer vanilla to sense, but it was fun to try out sense 2.0 for a while. I switched back to cm7 tho, and then i recently got a thunderbolt, which has the new sense built into it. My dinc (i just got one back, after i sold the one i had) is going to get rooted tonight and i'll probably load it up with cyanogen for the time being.
Good luck!

I just went through your same exact process wipe excessive of 3 time with no avail.. No need to downgrade. Do these steps and you will have no problems. And be surfing that rom in 10 minutes of reading this.

MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP.

1. Open rom manager and boot into recovery.

2. Wipe in this order
Data
Cache
Dalvik
Data
Cache
(For some reason 1 wipe sometimes does not clear all data and people are running into some problems flashing.)

3. Install zip from SD.

Then proceed the normal way of flashing over the new rom.

It should say removing old system and a loading bar that goes off screen. Will then say install complete. Reboot your phone and cross your fingers :-)

All should be good but if now... you know where to ask for more help. Gl I hope it works for you its a very nice rom. Warnings no wifi and wont read internal memory.
