Here is where I kill myself.

I am having the same issue, although less severe, after flashing a different ROM.

Double :(

sounds like your device just doesnt wanna play nice. I would say stick with OptiROM for now if that works, but maybe try a diff kernel version... altho.. the newest is the best. You need to figure out what you flashed with your OptiROM nandroid. I bet that you used the stock kernel in OptiROM. If thats the case I hope you know what you need to attempt next... and from here on out.. lets start a post about your individual issues... Your issue is very unique.

Alright. Damn.

Sorry I cluttered your mom's thread :(
LOL, you did nothin wrong. Just looks like you have individual issues that dont pertain to the ROM itself but something more underlying... When did you get your Optimus S??

im still having random freeze and reboot issues with your mom, i went back to rooted stock
:-( bloatware yuk :-PP
whats wrong with using TB to restore your apps after i flash your flash? sorry if this was answered already, but im on my way out the door to work and to lazy to read the parts of the thread i missed :-)
i also get and error message when i wipe dalvik.....says file doesnt exist? ive wiped everything flash eveything ( no-iq, debug, GK8 ) and still your mom holds out on me and wants to restart
( freeze n reboot ) any help or ideas.....thanks in advance
im also starting to think its my phone, i got it around christmas 2010 when it first came out and sprint was giving it away for free ( im gonna be late ) also can you flash a dalvik file (dont have one) like you flash a rom or any other .zip file........the hamster wheel in my head is rolling so sorry for all the question before coffee :-)

This is what I do:
Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe cache partition
Wipe devlik cache (just prior to wiping here is where I get the "E: can't mount dev/block/mmcblk0p2 (no such file or directory)" error)
Format system, boot, data, cache
Install from zip on SD card: debug format system

Is this the same error you are getting?

As for titanium backup, although it isn't supported you can use it just don't restore system apps or any data for any apps and you should be fine

No need to worry about that error when wiping dalvik. It just means your sd card is not partitioned, no big deal. Also, here is the proper way to flash Your Mom:

-Make a backup in recovery
-Wipe everything (under Mounts and Storage wipe data, cache, system and boot)
-Flash Your Mom
-Reboot and let it boot fully (important)
-Back to recovery and flash Gingerkernel v08.1 and reboot again and let your phone run for a few minutes (don't overclock anything yet)
-Back to recovery and flash YourMom-reboot-plusCRT-ICS-noIQ.zip from post #2 and reboot.

That's the safest method for installing Your MOM. My phone is an original from Nov 2010 as well, so I'm not sure why you guys are having these issues.

Titanium Backup:

I personally use it alot without issues. As stated before, do not restore system apps and data. Some people have issues with restoring market apps with data as well. Safest thing to do is, redownload your market apps fresh and then you can restore the data for them from TB. But remember never restore system apps and system data if coming from another ROM.

I would really like to see both you and B00M be able to run this rom successfully, but sometimes things are just unexplained.

::::: The Whole 'Data2EXT' Matter :::::

Team Hydro,

I know that recently, any support for 'Data2EXT' on YOUR-MOM-ROM was put to an end. The reasons were several and I can imagine the royal pain it must have been to support.

Question(s):

1. - For those of us (like myself) who still wish to use it, can you please at the very least put up the 'Data2EXT' scripts again that you guys had tweaked specifically for 'YOUR-MOM-ROM'?

2. - Perhaps, it can be re-introduced under 'Extras' ???

3. - Perhaps someone can create and installable .zip or an automated .exe so that we can easily enable/disable Data2EXT on Your-MOM-ROM?

Again, I know why you guys decided to terminate support for it, which does make sense.

However, since many of us would still like to enable this feature, perhaps you guys can meet us half-way with some sort of flashable .zip or automated script?

Thanks,

BJ

While I understand your request, I'm going to answer it with a suggestion.

I'm sure that someone here still has that file. What I suggest is for someone to create a new thread posting a data2ext for Your Mom ROM. Feel free to use and/or modify the one I had previously posted. Provide support for the community with this mod so that users who wish to use it have somewhere to discuss their experiences.

That's the best I/Team Hydro can do with this matter. We stand strong in the decision to not support this mod with this ROM.

Just a thought.

That sounds more than fair, perhaps we can make it a *sticky* with a Team Hydro disclaimer at the top???

Ok, so who has the file?

BJ

Well I can guarantee you it will never be a sticky, that's for sure. And whoever would like to take this project on, please don't just post it and say "here you go". A mod like that really needs some support behind it.

Features all included:

-3 way reboot mod -- adds "Reboot" and "Recovery" options to the power button menu
-CRT screen off animations -- same as in Your Mom ROM v1.1
-ICS screen animations -- make sure "All animations" is on to see these. Menu>Settings>Display>Animations
-noIQ Agent patch -- You can read about IQ Agent here.

Wipe caches in recovery and flash. Hope you enjoy!! -- (this has not been tested with data2ext, use at your own risk!)

[/TIP]

I actually forgot to wipe caches and managed to flash both The LWPs and the 3wayPowerMenuNoIQ mods fine. All options work great. Should I clear caches now, or reflash and clear, or is it fine the way it is?

My original thought was to not worry as most mods like these dont require any wipes. But i see that the devs say to wipe caches. I would just wait and see if you have any issues. You can alway perform those wipes and reflash the mods later.

I went from ZVD to ZVH and flashed Your Mom Rom - and everything works great so far! Except for the fact that my car has Bluetooth in it - but before I went to Your Mom Rom - my cars BT display was able to show my address book, and missed calls - and call lists etc. Now - it just allows me to make calls and doesn't show anything else. Does anybody have a clue as to why?

I'm on Gingerkernal 8.1 too - but I'm not quite sure what would affect this... Thanks in advance for any help!!

YOUR-MOM-ROM v.1.1, Optimus S and Hotspot capability

Is it possible to enable Optimus S Hot spot capability after installing Your Mom Rom? I have the hotspot option on the setting menu but it appears to be blocked at the Sprint end due to my not having the "special" $30/month hotspot device/account. I had read on various posts that it was possible to enable hotspot functionality if the phone was rooted and a new ROM installed but perhaps this is not the case.

You can use the app Wireless Tether that is included with the rom for hotspot capabilities.

Last night I went ahead and updated my Radio to ZVH to test out this rom and other stock style Gingerbread roms. When I first got this phone it was on ZVD and I just threw Cyanogenmod on there and called it a day.

Well I wanted to test some other roms to see if little quirks would disappear and so far a few have but a few persist. On major one is my Market issue.

I flashed Your Mom after rooting the ZVH install and flashing Xionia, then flashed the updated kernel. I let it boot and I signed into my Google Account and rebooted to install the Extras. I then proceeded to install apps and everything worked alright.

Until this morning I started to download the Kindle app and Foursquare. The Kindle app complains about lack of space when I have more then 50 MB on my internal storage and a gig on my SDcard. The Foursquare app downloads and during install spews out a "Package File Invalid" error. My first steps were to clear market data and reboot, when that didn't work I cleared market data, uninstalled updates and rebooted. The problem persists.

Has anyone had this issue and found a workaround? I had this issue once before while running CM7 on this phone as well.
