Samsung.com S10/+: Pre-Order Thread

I placed the S10+ order on the 22nd after being approved for Samsung Financing (Handled by TD Bank). I got the authorized hold charge (Used the credit line) and the order status is now pre-order. However, I found out the charge disappeared from account next day (23rd), but the order is still active. The credit line refunded as well. I called TD bank and they don't see any records that I've purchased the S10+. It is like I haven't order anything yet. So I called Samsung and they confirmed the order. I was told to wait for a few days until the charge appears on the account. To be clear, I received order confirmation email from Samsung the day before (22nd).

Right now, the order page shows S10+ is on pre-order status and cancel button.

Is it normal for pre-order process? Anyone had similar experience? I am just worried that I might have to re-order again if there is an issue.

Yes, normal. That was just a pre-authorization to make sure card good. They drop off usually within 48 hours. When you see the charge come back that means it is getting ready to ship. ;)
 
This happened to me with I bought the Note8. It is normal, once the device is shipped the charge will appear 1-2 days after.

Ahhh gotcha. Thanks guys for clear explanation. It is my first pre-order from Samsung and my first time using Samsung financing (Thanks to generous 0% APR for 24 months!). I was not sure but I am glad to know I am not the only one! :)
 
I just placed my order on Samsung's app, for a white Ceramic S10+. I am trading in a Note 8 that I still had,and it's like new. I got a $550 immediate credit towards my new S10+(of course it has to be sent in within a week of my receiving my new phone, and be approved. I'm not worried too much about that. I have 3 friends who have used the trade in program with Samsung, with zero problems, which is reassuring!) I placed my order and the app gave me my order number. About 5 minutes later my credit card company sent me that dreaded "did you just buy this?? text!" I sent a "yes!" immediately, but the response was, "thank you,if for some reason your order didn't go through, please have them resubmit the charge." So,, I called Samsung customers support, and they couldn't do anything except see my order and then said to give them 2 days to reply to me,in case the order wasn't placed,but he was unable to tell! I will just have to wait! Frustrating, since I called my credit card company beforehand, so this wouldn't happen! I wanted to tell others what I was told though about these orders. He told me that they are basically swamped with orders,and I probably will not get my order until after the 15th. He said that obviously the demand was more than they anticipated, so the system is kind of bogged down. I don't want to cancel my order, because I will just get placed that much farther behind the que! I also don't want to go through Verizon because of the great deal Samsung direct,is giving me for my Note 8! I just had it sitting in its box in my closet. I I just paid in full for the balance on the ceramic white S10+. Oh, and the earbuds are only available until they run out, and they only have 42,000 set aside for the promotion. So,if you didn't get your order in on that first day,you may be stuck in the "que!"(like me!)

My husband got a text from the credit card company about fraud alert and Citi told u s the order did get declined and will not go through and for Samsung to reprocess it I too would of had to wait a couple days cause Samsung couldn't tell me anything yet since I just placed the order and said wait a couple days which then the promotion would be over. I was already upset that it said 3/15 on both of our orders and not the 8th anyway. But Samsung and Citi told me to cancel and re-order.

Anyway so glad I found out Best Buy does take unlocked and I could buy unlocked outright so I am going through them. You turn your phone in when you pick up the new one. They told me not to reset the phone that they will do it all. I really hope I get mine on the 8th cause it's my off day from work and I won't have to worry about being in a hurry before work. Can't believe how many orders they have and our gonna have phones on B/O cause they didn't anticipate it to go this well. I can't wait to get the phone. And I should get the earbuds but it won't be like my husband he should get his right away with his phone that is the only reason I miss not going through Samsung and the 50 accessory deal to me wasn't that important cause I didn't really know if I wanted one of there cases or not. But now I want the new duo wireless charger.

Ordered Samsung S10E, prism white. Instant $50 credits on accessories. So I grab case and wireless charger lol.

Be careful, they automatically add wireless earbuds which cost you extra $120. Only regular S10/S10+ will get it free.

How did u get the $50 credits i pre ordered and didn't get it
 
I didn't end up getting the $50 accessory discount because it seems at the time I pre-ordered I didn't use the link. Using the link now however, I see it's still available. Do you think it's wise I cancel my orginal order and redo it so I can get the the $50 distcount? I don't want to have any issues like being billed twice. Has anyone cancelled an order and went back to re-order and had no issues?

You may get a later date then the 8th as well.
 
I see now on Samsung it's the 22nd. My husbands says the 15th and Best Buy couldn't tell me exactly but I am hoping for the 8th I am off work that day but since I didn't pre-order right away from them I may not.

Mine says 22nd also which means I have about a month of torture.
 
Should have not watched videos and followed news, now I'm suckered to pre order as well. Settled for the cheapest version (S10e). Paid 197 after trade in. Paid $310 + tax for Note 8 on eBay. Overall cost $540 for the S10e which is not bad.

LOL! that's the same thing that happened to me. I followed the hype a little too closely and now I have a phone on pre-order.

Hmm, i guess I could cancel my Samsung order and go with Best buy, but I don't think it matters much at this point. I could call BB and see what they say..ugh! So unsure as to what will be the best way to get my new phone.

You won't get the ear buds any faster if you pre order through Best Buy. You claim them through the Shop Samsung app, on your new S10/S10+.
 
I normally do my phone upgrades directly on the AT&T web site, but this time I opted to order from Samsung.com since they offered a good trade in for my LG G6 ($300). What was cool, is that when ordering from samsung.com I could still use the AT&T NEXT every year program to upgrade my existing phone line without any hassles. So I got the S10 along with a fast wireless charging pad ($14) and free wireless ear buds for $614. A good deal in my book! Shipped by March 15th, which is fine since I can wait.

I guess I'm one of the only ones having problems with ordering through Samsung and trying to do ATT Next, at checkout it still wants me to pay full price for the phone instead of just tax.
 
Yeah, that's what I was told too. However the trade-in promo ends 3/7, with phone releasing on 3/8. Don't want them to tell me that the trade-in promo ended and I'm gonna get $150 instead of $550

That seems odd. The manager there pretty much "guaranteed" that I will receive the trade-in amount on the 8th when I pick up the phone, and it will be in the form of a best buy gift card that you can put towards the amount of the phone.
