well I've had this happen before actually when I went from the note 5 to the note 7. They added the balance of the note 5 to my bill when I received the note 7 but then took it off once they received the note 5 back.

Same thing with me.

I was debating all day to run to my bank which is about 10 min from where I live. UPS couldn't get by me with the time I picked to leave. Well guess who decided to show up as I was walking to the garage.
Thank you UPS lords, and as Harvey two face would have said,

Looks like the note is off to a good start. Turns out, if you take something away from people who purchased it and deprive people who wanted it for a year and then bring back a new and improved model. THEY WILL COME!

Same here I didn't even have to pay activation fees. Just shipping. $10.00

Same for me, a nice surprise. Plus I contacted Sprint yesterday about my backorder and told them I was aggravated that I paid for next day shipping and now it's delayed? So they gave me a $30 credit which was applied immediately. And I got my tracking number around midnight. So I'm happier than I was yesterday morning.
