If you didn't see superuser you obviously weren't rooted so why didn't you try the root process again? Also, before upgrading to VC had you previously downgraded to V9?
Also, am I going to have to go back to V9, then flash the recovery BEFORE going back to VC, or is that something I can do without going back to V9 again?
Thanks for your quick responses!
So, I have to flash to V9, then root, then update to VC? Will I have to re-root once I go back to VC?
Oh, and BTW, my phone won't come on any more. It just stays at the LG screen. I turned it off, and when I turned it back on, that's it. Help, PLEASE!!
Well, I don't know what I did, but it comes back on now.Whew! Thought I was in trouble.
I was on V9, before upgrading to VC. What do you recommend from here?
Use the LG tool to upgrade to VC.
Im not really keeping count but how many ppl have said that upgradeing to vc with LG updater has caused this same problem?.....?
I'm not keeping count either but quite a few have had issues. There is a reason Sprint pulled the update, I'm guessing that's why.
Are you absolutely sure you flashed the V9 recovery kernel?
It is a little extra work but in the process you'll get the V9 recovery kernel and probably have everything reset nice and clean.following this
http://forum.androidcentral.com/lg-...45403-how-unroot-your-phone-return-stock.html
that should flash the v9 recovery kernel correct?
Did Sprint pull the update? Saw where KSmithNY said they did not. Maybe I missed something somewhere else?
1) Force flash V9
2) root V9
3) FLASH STOCK V9 RECOVERY (NOT OPTIONAL)
4) update to VC using the LG update tool
5) Root VC using either the manual method or the Control Center
