T-Mobile: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

Mines made it to Doraville (north of Atlanta) at 9:30 this morning so I doubt it's moved again until tomorrow. I was hoping that they moved it to today but oh well, tomorrow's not too bad.

My phone has been delivered. I'm on my way to pick it up right now. Does anybody know if I can use the same Sim card that's in my iPhone plus and use it on this note 8?

If they use the same kind of sim (I think nano SIM) you should be fine.

Two destinations scans...is that normal!?

I'm gonna say no early delivery for me today. My package is still in Philly. Guess touring the sites for the day. Tomorrow some time it will be for me and the new note. Weird that some are getting early with 3 Day Saver while others are not. Who makes that choice of worthy verse unworthy packages?

Mine is still in Lexington with only an orgin scan. I expect to see an update tonight and it should arrive in time for me to receive it tomorrow.

I'm going to have a new toy to play with tonight. It's going to fun setting it up and transfer everything over from my iPhone 7 plus. Oh joy!!!

My wife is coming from her iPhone 7 plus as well. The data transfer last night to the Note went flawlessly (took a while though) and nothing was lost, perfect! The only snag I ran into was that she used encrypted backups and kept trying one password after another because she said she couldn't remember the password she used in January. Turns out it was not because she could not remember her password, caps lock was inadvertently on and she didn't know it (iTunes refused to indicate this when I was trying to hack my way through her password rotations to remove the password). Well, once we figured that out, we did an encrypted backup to her laptop (until last night, that new laptop never has seen anything Apple). Plugged that password into Smart Switch, bam, now things went smoothly. It was late last night, tired, hungry, etc.

Same here, which is weird because first it went to Forest Park, which is a lot closer to me than Doraville. It arrived there at 3ish this morning. Whats up with that? Definitely could've been delivered today.

Well at least some MD peoples phone got shipped directly to Philly. Mine went to some random city in PA then just got to Philly. Not that I care as long as it gets here by tomorrow as scheduled. Just weird it got put on a different truck from all the MD phones

I've been playing wiith mine for about 30 min. I'm afraid to take off the plastic screen protector that it came with. So far I really enjoy it. Don't want mess with it to much don't want ware out the battery before I fully charge it. It's not much taller than my iPhone 7 plus with a case on it. Will have time tonight putting all my apps on and setting everything up. Good luck for those of you getting it today or tomorrow.

This is my BOGO. Unbelievably UPS Ground (about a 14 hour straight shot drive from Louisville, KY).

1.60 lbs? Must also be including the return shipping box for my wife's iPhone 7+.

Just checked and doesn't seem to be any flights going from Philly to Boston hub. I'm guessing my phones are on the road again and taking the long way here. This is just FYI for those with phones sitting in Philly heading into the Northeast.

I was thinking the same thing. But wouldn't there have been a departure scan.

Some locations they won't use air. Even for overnight. I just think it's nuts that people 15+ hours from Louisville are getting phones today. Meanwhile I'm 9 hours from Louisville and my phone isn't even in my state yet. And I'm referring to people with similar origin scan times obviously

Yes there should be. Where it seems to be going via the road and not air, not sure how timely those scans are. My Philly scan was for 6:50 but did not show up for several hours later in the app or online.

Think about what the drive time is. From Philly to Boston they have plenty of time to load them up and drive them in time to load them onto the delivery trucks. Not sure the drive time but figure they leave at 5pm est. That gives them around 14 hours to get there onto trucks and out for delivery. And that's only the delivery trucks that go out first thing. Some go out much later than 7am

May be gone already. My departure scan showed up two hours after its actual departure scan
