T-Mobile: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

This is not confirmed or from a source or anything. This is just my wishful thinking. I think we will have them a week early. The note has been off the market to long and Samsung will want to see the hype of the phone before street date to see how it will do. I hope I'm right lol !!!!

Ill state again for those who missed my LONG notice as far as tmobile SHIPPING and JOD.

-Whether you paid 25 or 7$ for shipping, you will not get it any faster. Preorders all go out at the same time, and they always use 2 day express. ALWAYS. I have been preordering for many years and its always the same case.Tmobile receives a discount on shipping in bulk and its all the same speed.


- JOD is now 12 times a year. There is no down payment. You only pay down payment if you have regular JUMP, not JOD. Jump is an EIP plan. JOD is a lease.

There is no such thing as 2 day Express with UPS.

But I'm confused now. I just noticed the s8 only came out 4 months ago (some reason I thought it was last year lol).

So my Jump is the pay half before I can use it. So I'm trying to see why she told me I got 4 months to go...did the down payment and monthly make it actually less than a year like I thought it would be (total ÷ 24 = 12)

I was told the same thing when I called customer service. Then I remembered somebody said try the T-Mobile help desk on Twitter. I've been on Jump since it was first introduced and I've only used it once. That was to get the S8 Plus. She was able to find something in the system that allowed me to jump early. I actually think the people on Twitter have more knowledge of the way T-Mobile works than calling up the customer service line.

Free overnight shipping was offered with the Note 7. It wasn't offered with the Note 8.

My thought is that whoever pays for overmight will get theirs early (9/12 or 9/13). Those who choose standard shipping will get theirs by 9/15.

Don't hold your breath. This happens every year.What are you going to do? call customer service and tell them that a bunch of people on a forum got their phones at the same time as you even though they paid standard shipping? Come on man.

I see there have been several complaints about the $7 shipping order. I went into the store, ordered the phone, saw the $7 shipping charge, and questioned it. The rep. answered that this time around there was a shipping charge; she didn't offer any other shipping cost options. I didn't catch at the time that it meant I would receive the phone 5-7 days after it was shipped. I saw that was a possibility on this forum. I called customer service and after a half hour they told me that if they canceled the order it wouldn't allow to use my JOD again right away and I'd be back in the que to receive the phone at a later date. Not being able to use the JOD right away may be BS. When I told them that it made no sense to preorder if I had to wait to receive it after it was shipped, they agreed. I did get them to refund the $7 shipping cost. This is a raw deal from the start as the rep. should have offered me other shipping options.

I'm on vacation Sept 2 to Sept 8. That's the only reason I wouldn't want it too too early lol. Know it would be sitting there at UPS waiting for me would drive me nuts lol.

People on Reditt have some good insite on shipping. One is so sure that it will be by Sep 10. The other ones think that it will be by the 12th to get it in hands before the IPhone 8 announcement

No. It's a case by case basis. If you call, they may credit you back. I think what happened before was people paid extra for overnight and they all shipped via free 2-day and they were credited back.

This is not true. A co-worker opted for the standard shipping and got just that, standard shipping. We both preordered the Note 7 the same day from the same computer. He assumed too that it woulent make a difference. It did.

If you are gonna order from Best Buy, you are better off doing pickup if you want it same day release. From my experience if you ship it, it will not come to your house same day

A rep. from some T-Mobile department called me today and worked it out. They canceled my first order, reordered with what he called overnight shipping, and I have a 9/9-9/15 shipping date. They really do seem to want to keep my business.

T-Mobile customer service has always been good imo. They really do try for their customers

It took me 3 times to get it right, 1st 2 reps didn't seem to know how to do the pre-order, well 2nd one was good she just put the order in as a add-a-line which was going to be $60 more a month so I had to call back a 3rd time and now it's all good I hope but what I was getting at is that all 3 of those orders all said 9/13/17-9/15/17 and the first 2 weren't overnight delivery but the 3rd one is but I also believe we will have them a lot earlier than that...well I'm being optimistic too.
