I had the same exact issue and had to switch to Textra... I could not get it to work in the messenger that came with the phone. Once I had Textra installed, I got the error you have above (it looks like you're using Textra. I then found out from the message board threads that you have to change your MMS settings to "Legacy". It worked fine after that.

One other thing that I read on the message boards from folks that are having issues with the Live Message was that the carrier has a limit of 1 MB for message size. I do notice that Textra has an option in the settings to set this. If you select the Carrier Send Limit as 1 MB, the app will compress the image to 1 MB so that it can be sent. I also have T-Mobile and I do believe that I heard that it does have that limit set.

We turned of WiFi calling and it worked without issue. On previous phones I saw the setting you refer to, I do not see it on the Note 8 in the messaging app.

Does your guy's note8 load 720p or above on YouTube well? Cuz mine just buffers I can only watch video in 480p which it sucks. I tested my download speed and it's 60 megabits!

Mines says week of 2017-10-9, but I'm thinking the date format is backwards. So I believe it ships the week of September 10th instead of October 9th.

Wishful thinking, mine says Estimated to ship: 10/08/2017-10/23/2017 .

So the date is not backwards. It will be 10/08 or later. Every day I check it gets pushed back by another day. Assuming you ordered a grey one and not just a black one.

Sorry for the mix-up, we were discussing the pre-order bonuses when talking about those dates.

Mine doesn't have a problem playing YouTube videos at higher resolution when I'm on WiFi. But they said that they'll allow unlimited YouTube at 440P on LTE, so I wonder if it couldn't be something related to your WiFi? Are you seeing this over the air or on WiFi or both?

When I am connected to WiFi it loads 1440p prefecly. I just don't get why I can't play FHD on 4g LTE without having it buffering each 10 seconds

Is anyone here who has their TMO Note 8 having issues with correctly identifying which line text are coming in to? I get a text on digit number, it shows received on sim card number. TMO tells me this is a known bug affecting ALL N8s and solution is to wait on Samsung for a fix...?

Anybody?

I had similar ship dates. I went to the T-Mobile Facebook page yesterday and used the messaging function to talk to customer service. They confirmed the back order, so I had them cancel he order. I'll take my chances on 9/15 at the local T-Mobile store.

T-Mobile's website says their "unlimited" data plan limits all video streaming to 480p. That's an unfortunate restriction for those of us with an expensive 1440p phone. Although T-Mobile does disclose the restriction, their "unlimited" label is highly misleading, especially considering that hi-res video streaming is probably, for most users, what unlimited mobile data is most needed for.

I cancelled my BOGO order for 2 Note 8s which were scheduled in ship 10/8 to 10/23. I thren reordered and for my issues got free expedited shipping and now expect delivery on Wednesday!

Mine didn't have an estimated date yet. I'm in no real hurry for those freebies though. Got the phone so that's The main concern lol.

I just did mine on Saturday and it's telling me that it (charging dock & SD Card) should ship out the week of October 16th.

Heh, dude that's a whole other thread. But yes I agree, it's kind of pointless to have unlimited data at that point.

I got a T-Mobile One plan during the $50/line promotion, during which I was able to get HD streaming included in the deal. If I got that kind of functionality today, it'd be $60/line + $10 for the HD video = $70/line. Not exactly highway robbery, but given that I have two lines (I'm the only one in my family who cares about HD video), and with my Note 8 via JOD, that's about $180/month. Which doesn't seem any better than what my friends on Verizon are paying.

Had T-Mobile not offered that promotion, I'd have just stuck with my 6 GB/month Simple Choice plan.
