The LG G3 has arrived :-)

Re: Well done Lg

Never experienced any over heating issues here. Coming from the flex the battery is a tad bit disappointing but it's not bad by any means.

I have to agree I picked one up last night and by far it's one or the best smart phone's out there in my opinion.

It sure is up there, lg should have went with a 3200mah or perhaps a 3500mah battery and then it would be one device to be reckoned with lol

But its replaceable and that surely is a plus point :-)

I hear they will be releasing a 3500 here soon

Re: Most LG G3 buyers seem happy :-)

Not even 24 hours with mine the device seem perfect so far no flaws that I can see.

Re: Most LG G3 buyers seem happy :-)

I love it too, I just don't know if I can live with the battery life being on nexus 5 standards, especially when other devices like S5 (my only reference since I owned one) did so well. The anandtech review I think is the most unbiased one

From my music, battery life is much much better on the G3 than my Nexus 5. Talking a good hour more of screen time at least and much better standby

I have a Nexus 5 as well as my G3. I can definitely say with certainty that the battery life on the G3 is better than that of the Nexus. I'd have to say that in my brief experience with the G3, the battery is holding up about the same as my HTC One M8. I'm more than happy with that.

Re: Well done Lg

I guess I'm lucky, but I haven't had any of the above issues aside from some small lag here and there that was fixed by switching to ART. Further, most, if not all of these issues should be fixable in software updates. LG has done a great job here.

Honestly, if you have a m8 I would keep it. To me the feel is great but when you hold the m8 with it the m8 still feels a bit more premium than the g3. I am enjoying my g3 allot don't get me wrong but after using the m8 also it's a sideways move not a upgrade

Re: Well done Lg

I imagine that all or most owners are at least impressed by the G3 if not actually amazed by it. I'm in the latter category. I entirely agree with the sentiment of the thread title. We are all indebted to the South Korean smartphone geniuses who have created it.

Had M8. Sold it and got G3.

M8 better battery, better sound

G3 bigger screen but not necessarily better for me. I like the UI more. And wireless charging is convenient.

I like both. If i had to choose 1 prob M8.

Re: Most LG G3 buyers seem happy :-)

Only thing I'm not liking so far is is that signal strength is not as good as my One...

Does the difference in reception strength translate into slower data and dropped calls or are you basing it strictly on the number of bars you see?

Don't any of you guys use cases? I don't even know what any phone I've ever owned feels like. I just know what the case feels like!

Re: Most LG G3 buyers seem happy :-)

Put a G2 side by side with a G3 and set both brightness to about 70%. Then, tell me which one looks more pleasing? Wish we could do a poll on just that. I think it would be a landslide in favor of the G2 screen at least from my quick test.

It's not affecting my call reception but...

When I have a weak 3g signal my One will still connect to the internet the G3 won't

Not even close. My g3 blows my g2 out of the water.

Really close but the G2 is brighter. Not as noticeable in person

That may be to save battery. My note 3 gets really hot when I have a weak 3G signal and try to do anything. Sometimes the weak signal alone is enough to heat up the device. I'd just as soon have no signal as one that burns down my battery like that.
