The LG G3 has arrived :-)

Re: New Camera app Xda

So is this an additional camera app or does it add extra features to the existing stock camera?

Re: New Camera app Xda

Thx for the info I will definitely try this one.
I've found the stock Camera very impressive so far. It's the season of spiders where I am and I've been photographing them on their webs, close-up. The G3 usually gets the focus spot-on. I'd post a pic but don't want to alarm the arachnophobes.

Re: Who is keeping the G3? or Selling to aquire the Note 4?

Because its better/safer/more efficient to simply place your apps/app data in your internal memory for quicker response and less likelihood of encountering read/write errors. Having bigger internal storage allows the user to carry more apps and large space hogging games. SD cards are great for carrying everything else such as music, movies, personal files, etc..

So to wrap things up.....
Internal storage = Apps and App data
SD Card = Music, Movies/videos, personal files, e-books, etc..! Should be regarded as your backpack of digital media!

not really apps and games can b moved over to sd i have simpsons, monument valley and clash of clans on my sd

Re: Who is keeping the G3? or Selling to aquire the Note 4?

It depend on your perspective.
KNOX added voiding your warranty completely for even attempting to tamper with the firmware on the phone.

I'll forever pass on Samsung.

then u get a samsung GP edition

Re: Who is keeping the G3? or Selling to aquire the Note 4?

I only use SD card for music, pictures and video. All my apps go to internal storage. Have to hand it to LG, the G3 has all the right hardware and setup.

all my music is in tha cloud pictures r a waste of space i jus upload to instagram or FB then delete em, and i rarely eva soot videos and if i do that goes to instagram too i keep games on my sd

Re: Who is keeping the G3? or Selling to aquire the Note 4?

I'll be sticking with my G3. The Note doesn't look to offer anything exceptional over the G3. I have many friends with Samsungs and I recently retired my S3, no real complaints, but moving to the G2 and then G3, much better phones.

Keeping my G3 with no hesitations or regrets.

Re: Who is keeping the G3? or Selling to aquire the Note 4?

The battery life on the Note 4 looks tempting but I didn't like touchwiz on the Note 3.

So far my G3 is running great and it looks like I can get 5 hours of SOT on an average day.

Keeping the G3 but I have to say the Edge got my attention.

LG G3 Turn Back Time (this is not a cher thread lol)

I want to take you back to a time, a time of great excitement and anticipation. That's right folks the wait for Mr Delivery guy to hand over your new G3.

You sign the electronic device with a line and a dot, quickly shut the door with a cheers and see you again in a few months perhaps. You walk into your unboxing spot and quickly rip of the exterior packaging. There is the box LG G3 oh yes its here. But you hesitate and look around the box checking the specs but this is just part of not rushing as you already know. You place the box down but thinking should I read one more time? Nah you just brake the seal and slowly lift the lid and there it is looking you in the face your new G3. You lift have a quick look and place it to one side while you check what else is in the box (charger,USB cable & quadbeat headphones, literature, battery). Now comes the looking at the G3 and being quite impressed and with me amazed at the build, pealing off the plastic and again one more look around delaying the placement of that battery just for a bit. The battery goes in the excitement builds and booom you hit the power button and on comes the QHD display...going through the start up and installing apps. The G3 is setup and dam its good...you have it just so for a bit but then scratch your head and think oh yes there is root. So you root and tweak and bootloop here, setup again and bootloop once again, setup again and say I'm not doing that for a 3rd time lol

Just prior to root and as you setup you just can't resist a quick review or two on AC...

You then relax with your new device and enjoy the G3 experience...

The End..

Pretty lame, sounds like your personal story versus it being what other people experience.
Use towel root and you wont get boot loops.
The end...

Re: LG G3 Turn Back Time (this is not a cher thread lol)

My G3 didn't come with any headphones, which surprised me.

Re: LG G3 Turn Back Time (this is not a cher thread lol)

US version has no earphone's
True story.
Bit of a bummer but I had a couple of sets from previous devices.
Don't use them much though...

Cheers Lame was what I was aiming for, so glad it was a success :-)

Bootloops was down to me messing around but have enough experience to get out of tricky situations.

Cheers for your input though :-)

Without replying to each individually although you may not of had the enclosed Quadbeat headphones. I can confirm they would of ended up in a drawer/box.

The build is OK but sound quality is very poor.

No doubt, I have multiple pairs of very good headphones. For anyone into qualiy headphones - HiFiMAN HE-400's (modded grills, pads, etc.) along with a Schiit Magni + Modi amp and dac (my main listening set up on the PC). Audio Technica ATH M50's, Audio Technica ATH A900X's, Audeo PFE012 in ear monitors. Fiio E17 portable headphone amp/dac, etc. Headphones are a bit of a hobby for me...

Any headphones that came with the G3 would certainly go into a drawer, was just surprised that none shipped with it. Probably the first phone I've ever purchased that didn't come with any.

Re: LG G3 Turn Back Time (this is not a cher thread lol)

How about telling us what you did to cause the boot loops?
That way you could save us the headaches of going through what you did.
Also is it me or are we the only ones responding to everything?
Joltcola, Duncan and maverick

Me cat has just woke me up very early to give him some grub and let him out and I've made meself a cuppa tea and fired up the G3 so I'll chip in with a comment. I was just thinking when the screen lit up how big the display is and how small it makes me Nexus 5's in comparison, but the latter a superb phone and of course from the same manufacturer. Happy days when we got our G3s and it all seems sooooooooo long ago, but it was just a few weeks.......
We did our own reviews, Duncan and me, mine was brief but members found Duncan was even less forthcoming and it was difficult to get him to write anything at all, so reluctant was he to put finger to keyboard heh heh heh. It all happened looooooong ago and now we see the new G3 owners joining the forum and discovering the qualities of their devices just like we did.
Now I'm going to get some more kip, me cat permitting.
