argggg ... in my opinion this phone and its launch so far are like the train wreck you don't want to watch, but you can't look away because its so appealing (and for the most part many of us still desperately want this thing cause we know its gonna be a beast, so we keep coming back for more)

well as far as I know, Joe is just a verizon employee. While OG was actually at an event regarding the thunderbolt a few days ago. They both posted pictures of them holding phones, but Joe was only holding a dummy unit, while OG had a working one.

which one seems more reliable to you?

Same here but I tried Tmo and did not like it at all Verizon has been my best experience so far. My OG Droid will have to tide me over till the Tbolt comes out.

Well what would you expect them to advertise? You need a data plan to have a smartphone. From everybody's understanding so far the unlimited data for LTE is going to be the same price. I mean LTE data on the data sticks is the same price as data on EVDO data cards/sticks. O.G. Incredible has also stated that they were told at the launch event that LTE data would be the same price.

Some people are really starting to read too much into the most mundane things. Again, a smartphone requires a data plan and right now the only plans they have are the $29.99 and the $44.99 plans.

Maybe the TB is dead on arrival. Maybe its not coming at all. Maybe Verizon is a little kid with a big magnifying glass aimed at the ant hill in his back yard.

Ever wonder if Verizon is enjoying all of the jerking around they do, I sure bet they do indeed.

While I am tired of reading (skipping) the posts about how Verizon hasn't given a date, blah, blah, blah I say this if you don't want to read about release dates, speculation about dates and just plain rumors about dates THEN DON'T READ THIS THREAD, its about release dates.

Same here but I tried Tmo and did not like it at all Verizon has been my best experience so far. My OG Droid will have to tide me over till the Tbolt comes out.

i understand, im on att. no real bad issues, but i always here verizon has amazing coverage. lte speed tests look great so far. but tmo here friends r gettin 3-7mb on hspa+ so i cant complain about that. im in need of a phone an my wife is gettin kicked off her parents family plan on march 8th. sooooo this needs to get out asap lol

WTF?!?! You're right. No Thunderbolt commercials on Verizon's youtube account.

Is there any possibility that commercials that include an actual release date instead of "Coming Soon" are in the pipeline?

Just a thought. VZW setting the commercials to private doesn't necessarily mean that the TB has been delayed indefinitely.

It takes exactly one click of the mouse to hide a commercial. Why wouldn't they leave up the existing commercials until the new ones were ready? It's delayed... big time now. They're going to try and dial back the ads I bet... let's see how many more Thunderbolt ads we see on TV in the coming days.

Just curious, has anyone seen a commercial today? I saw them, yesterday, even a brand new one, but nothing today!

The phone is coming. Too much money has been spent on R&D, manufacturing, training, advertising, testing, coding, etc. Now... is it coming in March? Not a chance.

Yeah, no one is editing those video files. They're uploading brand new ones with the date and shutting off the old ones RIGHT BEFORE. It went dark for days for a reason. Maybe no one will see it... maybe no one will remember it.

To be honest, I'm not that optimistic either. I'll be taking a wait-and-see attitude for a couple more weeks then will upgrade to something else if VZW still hasn't announced a release date for the TB.

But at the same time I'm not assuming the worst simply because a couple of commercials were removed from YouTube.

I wouldn't base it soley off of that... but the fact that no one seems to have a date and BB's policy is just to keep pushing the date a week... and a week... and a week.... Engadget reporting battery issues, then reports of Skype not working, and reports of the Hotspot not working.... assuming all those other issues (except for the battery) are resolved, the removal of ads would tend to suggest that they are winding down their ad campaign for the time being.

Sorry. Didn't mean it that way. When I was talking to my VZW store rep last week, the change to the tiered data plan (and no longer having the unlimited DP) came up in conversation. We don't have 4G LTE in my area yet and from what I have been told on two separate occasions, I understand that the data plans are the same regardless of whether you are in a 3G or 4G LTE area; but the current unlimited DP will be going away and will be replaced by a tiered structure.

He didn't have any idea when that change might happen, but the fact that he brought it up made me start wondering if they were going to be changing to the tiered rate soon (possibly around the TB launch). Plus he made mention that if I upgraded and got on the unlimited plan before the changes occur, that I will be locked into that thru the duration of my contract term.

I don't have a data plan on my phone currently so I have no idea how much usage I will have on a smartphone when I get one (hopefully the TB). So if the data plan options change before or at the time of the TB launch, I will have no idea what tiered plan to purchase (because I definitely don't want to end up over my max!). I also worry about what the tiered pricing rates will be.

Nice to see the ad, but we know it had to be put in there so far in advance. Oh and it said "available at Verizon and Best Buy." but again this just makes me think it was supposed to have been available by now, not that it is necessarily coming out next week.

That's right ... sweep it under the rug and hopefully everyone forgets it even existed ... too bad for them I tweeted androidcentral and phandroid and let them know the commercials are now M.I.A from their channel (oh and not to mention the 30,000 people that viewed it on youtube and the countless more that saw the ads on TV, they can only hope people forget about it)
