Thunderbolt Pre Announcement Waiting Room & Availability Thread.

your right, my patience is thinning as well, but what would be funny and i highly doubt it would happen. if everyone purposely boycotted this phone and show verizon this is what hapeens when you screw with the consumer

I have to tell you because my Storm is really driving me crazy it was tempting to just walk outa there with a different phone model and say to myself something like "You make me wait to long and I defect." That's exactly what happened with Blackberry, I got sick of waiting. I know nothing about Android basically, it will be a total new learning curve for me. The one thing I do know is that this is *not* the way I wanted to be introduced to Android or my new phone.

Hell, I can get the hurry up and wait political type games at Blackberry. I am soooo disappointed that I finally decided to broaden my mind and say "bye bye Blackberry" only to run into the same kind of thing with Android. It's just very disheartening when you have a lousy phone and you really want a certain phone that is peeking out at you going "na na na na boo boo ... can't catch me hardy har hee."

If the date isn't announced at the HTC press conference you can sure bet it will at this one later in the day there.

Verizon Wireless And Skype Host Joint News Conference At Mobile World Congress In Barcelona

I've been thinking a release was coming for a while now. Quite honestly, I'm starting to doubt this being my next phone. If it's not announced by the end of the week, then I'm getting an i*hone, if only so I cost VZW all that money we heard about. Screw 'em. Then if the TB isn't released by then, I'll swap it out for something else.

The commercial says February. For me it's February or nothing.

Best Buy was taking pre-orders with a release date for the 14th. Amazon and Wirefly had the 14th. It was the 14th. Because Verizon didn't see fit to announce it doesn't change the fact that they communicated an actionable date to it's partners.

Best Buy's press release stated Thunderbolt availability by "Mid-February". Do delays happen? Yes, but no one is saying what the delay was but there clearly was.

Best Buy doesn't out out releases without checking with their Legal team and more than likely with Verizon's legal team.

The fact that Verizon couldn't be bothered to notify people itself about it's target dates is it's own failing. It should have told all it's partners nothing and given BB back it's exclusivity check.. and let this thing come out whenever they felt the need.

best buy corporate never confirmed a release date either...

"Middle of February" is an expected release range. My point is, it wasn't like people are getting all of this release date stuff out of thin air or leaked screenshots. It was communicated publicly and then it was provided to their exclusive retail provider (ie. Best Buy).

A valentines day seems stupid to me. Who buys there boyfriend or girlfriend a phone? for valentines day?

I was going to get the TBolt as a Valentines Day present for my Hubby!
Now all he gets is a card, saying your present is coming soon LOL!

If I had to speculate based on nothing at all, I would guess this phone will be announced tomorrow at MWC.
