Thunderbolt Pre Announcement Waiting Room & Availability Thread.

Perhaps repeating the know, but!

Best Buy took my money today for a pre-order of the Thunderbolt (I am 3rd on the list at this particular store), and the word that I heard was that they are expected in the store yet this week. I sure hope that passing on the iPhone after this long wait is worth it - for having 4g service and not being tied to Apple's strict control of everything.

Harassing folks who work for a living because you can't have what you want, when you want it, is pretty sad. Posting it all in an online forum so everyone can laugh and egg each other on is even worse.

When LTE USB sticks for laptops first launched there was a delay in the hand-off between 3G & 4G -- up to two minutes as I recall. But that's been fixed.

Is that totally confirmed? I remember reading this, but since I did keep upto date on the modems I never read or saw proof it's been fixed. If you had a source that would be great! Thanks!

ROFL that's what they said all of last week about the 14th. Don't get your hopes up.

Don't worry about passing on the Iphone4. I Guarantee you'll be happy. Heck, play with your Bolt for a full day then go in and play with a ipoop4. You'll be so glad you waited.

I think you would have had to ask them. When I pre-ordered I asked if I was the first, he said "ya I believe you are" than a second later said, "wait never mind your actually #2 a guy was in here a little before you and pre-ordered it."

On chat I was told, "We will know more once the phone is released" WTF!!!! The intelligence there is staggering lol!!! Then he said sorry we do not have any more information for you but like I said there will be more information on the phone after release and then we could discuss the date and info!! holy crap I can't take it lol.

I get a new phone every year... you get a lot of perspective that way. Well, the minute that I've decided on a new device the current phone i'm using (pre plus) begins to look like a girlfriend I can't wait to break up with. This thing is a pain in the ass, startin to look a little beat up, and I'm just using it because I have to.

I know too many people won't believe me. But a class mate at my University who works in sales for Verizon was very quick to tell me she can't tell when the Thunderbolt is being released. It was frustrating. Idk why it's such a secret. But I'm guessing it has to deal with the stupid iPhone cause when I mention Apple's Glassed sandwiched phone, she didn't deny what I said. She just couldn't say she agreed.

My take is that they're gonna release the TBolt on the 24th, cause if anyone is having any problems with their iPhone or don't want it, they can only return it once for another phone. And if anyone wanted one of the other phones, they would have gotten it by now. So they're trying to stop any hesitating iPhone returns from happening.
